I love going to this place. I was new to the area and I felt right at home. They have live bands some days and DJ’s the other ones. The staff members are great. The bouncers keep an eye to make sure it’s not too rowdy or any escalations of fights.
This place has been around since I was a kid. It's Def a dive bar so don't expect high class. However most weekends have live music or a DJ and the bar tenders are good. If you looking for a less than classy night out this is the best spot in Downtown.
Went out there with my long time best friend. Had so much fun. Felt so safe. Gotta make it a regular thing. This place is my new, Take Miss Hottie, to this hot spot.
This is an awesome watering hole in the heart of Ventura. A fun perk is if you have a craving for pizza while tossing back drinks and socializing with friends, Jimmy slice will heat up a pie and send it on over. San Souci is located towards the West end of the downtown area surrounded by awesome shops and restaurants, and sits directly across from The Majestic Ventura Theater. Your ears will get a treat with live music performance every night, but the place can get crowded, so be sure to arrive a little early if you want to find a seat. There's a patio to enjoy some fresh air, and it's the perfect environment to sit back, relax, and enjoy the fresh ocean air. Be sure to say hi to the owners, Sande and Jim, as they're lovely people with huge hearts.
For dive bar enthusiasts without a doubt! I love this place. Sunday Funday for 8 years. It feel like home. Faces change but the of the OG staff are still around. Live music and good times

We came on Monday Karoake night, we were just seeking a late night bar as many in Ventura closed around 10pm. Fabulous friendly, bohemian crows, some great singers, and cheap beer. We popped in for one and stayed for 3 or 4. A cracking good night!
