Absolutely lovely experience, must see to understand the importance of this historic landmark. Worth saving up to vacation here; food and service are excellent, staff is efficient and considerate, amenities, including a world class spa, are awesome. Our comfortable room was in the main building, linens and mattress top notch. I highly recommend staying in the historic section if you appreciate fine craftsmanship and period experiences. Goosebumps walking the same hallway as F Scott Fitzgerald, among others???? Some have an issue with parking fees, so do your homework before booking. Kudos to the entire staff for providing wonderful service and care during this most difficult time for your community- a heartfelt thank you.
Came across the country to assist with hurricane cleanup/relief because that’s the right thing to do. Came to the Grove Park Inn for some lunch. Was not physically clean when we got here so asked if we could use the pool or sports center restroom to shower as we were slinging chainsaws all day. Front desk clerk was willing the Manager made it very clear we could use a FEMA camp or lower grade motel/hotel to shower and eat. Of course she had to remind us this is a four diamond establishment inferring we were not worthy. And a room would be $483 so we could shower there. We only wanted a shower not a handout. So we use a restroom to just change. Still smelled like a goat. Got to the restaurant for some really good food served by a lippy server. So one star solid! Oh, by the way we are here because we can afford it. Avoid this place because the young female manager is not kind. We still spent a few hundred bucks on lunch and cocktail. Irony!
Wow! This is definitely one of the best resorts that I've ever stayed at and the spa was by far...the best spa that I've ever been to! It was magical and everything was way beyond my expectations. I was very impressed and I plan to bring my boyfriend there next year. It was an amazing experience! The rocks, waterfalls, underwater music, food, drinks, service, and massages were all perfect. Brandon is the best massage therapist that I've ever had. He was top notch! I can't really complain about this place especially since it's a historical monument. You can actually feel the history throughout the entire hotel. I love the quotes on the walls from the famous people that have stayed there. My bed was super comfy and everyone was so nice! We had a great time for my friend's birthday.
This is an exceptionally nice hotel that pampers you with service. Everyone was helpful and friendly. The pillows were very soft and the room temperature was great. The food was exceptional, well seasoned, and there was a large variety of healthy options.
We made the mistake of coming on the weekend when it was busy and lots of families with small children. We had a deluxe room which was ok. We were in the “historic” section. The walls are paper thin. But the bed was comfortable and the bathroom had everything we needed. We enjoyed breakfast and dinner buffets at the Blue Ridge restaurant. Very good. Most of the staff is friendly. The Marketplace employees seem to hate their job. Not a single smile from any of them. Overall, I might come here again.
The Grove Park is back! Post Hurricane things aren't normal, but they are back to normal at the Grove Park Inn. We had a wonderful experience! The staff were appreciative of our conference, and service was exceptional. We had a fun 4 days and look forward to future trips.
Just came for a small visit with my family and we were overjoyed with how welcoming the staff were. Beyond the beautiful hotel it was the employees that stood out to us most. Special thanks to the lady making hot coco in the lobby (sorry I didn’t get your name) you went above and beyond in your service. And a huge shout out to Victor (I believe he was a bellman) your hospitality was incredible, and thank you so much for going out of your way to show us different areas of the hotel and always greeting guests with a smile. Your service really stood out! Thank you Omni hotel you all were so wonderful!
We love the Grove Park Inn, especially for the holidays. Thanksgiving lunch was outstanding, with a variety of options and a view to die for in the Blue Ridge. On Saturdays after Thanksgiving Santa comes for the children. I can't wait to come back next year when they have fully recovered from the hurricane and the gingerbread displays are fully back.
