Wife surprised me for a mini-vaca. We got a chance to check out this awesome casino and to enjoy it before it gets torn down. It was a joy to walk through and experience the sights and sounds and the volcano show! So much fun. Our room was large, bed was comfortable, bathroom was clean and we had an awesome view of the strip.
I was there for three hours to partake in the money giveaway. No machines were available,
and half were off. So imagine all the chaos this caused.
They're "giving away" money while you're still feeding the machines. They only call ONE random PERSON every 30 minutes from 3:00-7:00 pm for slot play. People aren't moving off the machines.
I don't understand why the owner or hotel didn't anticipate chaos with half the slots not operating. Or cause chaos! You entice people with the giveaway then close half the machines.
The room rates were high. The rates were higher if you're a local resident, have AAA, or other discounts. They do have a nice bathroom in the casino. I've never been in the hotel before today.
Goodbye Mirage!
We went to see the Beatles Cirque show at the Love Theatre. Excellent show, and our seats were perfect for a great view of this performance. This show will be ending due to the Mirage closing down and being remodeled by the new owner, Hard Rock Intl. Will see how this hotel and casino will be transformed. Hopefully, they'll bring back Cirque shows for our entertainment.
Great stay at a great hotel. They are probably tearing it down now to make it better. Room service food was great. Those were the best hamburgers I had were from room service. Hotel right on the strip. Can't wait to visit again. Rooms were probably the cleanest I've stayed in. Staff helpful and nice. I wish I could stay forever.
My husband booked us in at the Mirage for our 3 day weekend in Vegas. The view we got was amazing! The room was very clean and we even got accommodations to the bed and bathroom. Although we were hardly in the room, the service was great. We got free parking because they were not charging for parking but usually parking is $20 per night. We really enjoyed the casino and the restaurants in the lobby. It was on the strip so we were able to access many of the near by casinos and restaurants. We cannot wait to book again. The pool was great as well and it was pretty big.
Went to see the storied casino that changed Vegas forever before it closes to make way for the Hard Rock Hotel. They've still got the volcano going for a little bit longer and it was just as spectacular as ever. I'll miss you.
The rooms were pretty good however the fridge not being available to guests is definitely a minus for me. The front desk was very helpful and there are many great places to get food in the hotel.
The outdoor pool is huge and the staff there are pretty kind as well.
As for location is not really the best but it is somewhat close to the center and it’s right next to the Forum Shops.
Such a nostalgic hotel, for saying its closing down at the end of July 2024 to be demolished to make way for a brand new one being built. It made me appreciate the fact that I would be one of the last people to be staying it. The staff were so professional and friendly even though they would be losing their jobs. The upkeep right to the end is exceptional.
