While on vacation at Thanksgiving time, we went to lunch at The Hangout. The food all tasted really good. The fried Calamari and the grilled shrimp were great! The Blueberry Mojito and Shark Attack are wonderful. Great atmosphere for people of all ages. Very family friendly! I definitely recommend checking this place out. The staff were all nice and helpful and fun!
I enjoyed my night at the hangout celebrating my birthday! The vibe was great and our waitress was awesome. Her name was Kiwi and I highly recommend her. She was nice and very fun. Make sure our experience was great! Highly recommended sitting in her section if you’re visiting.
What a cool place to be. They truly have everything you need to have a good time and explore. Our server, David, was awesome. Great attitude and service. He turned on the foam pit for my son early because we would be done with our food before it would come back on. He made us feel super welcome. The food and drinks were perfect. Great portion sizes and good flavor. We will definitely be back when we are in Gulf Shores again!
On Saturday, around 1 p.m., we got a nice window-side table that was great for the sun and wind. The restaurant was kind of crowded, but there was no waiting time to get seated. It took about 30 minutes or more to order, and there were no servers around, which was long.
The food was all decent ???? we loved the pork belly nachos, which had a delicious BBQ sauce and cheese flavor.
Overall good vibes and food.
The last, The bathroom was kind of dirty ????
The Shaka Burger was delish! The atmosphere is kid-centric with foam parties at the top of the hour and games on the :30. They do have you pay $20 to park in their lot, however you get a $20 voucher to spend in their gift shop so it evens out. Much easier to park in their lot than the beach lots surrounding the location. A big + for us is they are dog friendly at the outdoor tables and areas! Would definitely come back!
We came to The Hangout at the request of our 8 year old. I was hoping we'd see the foam/bubble party but never did. I'm assuming it's a night fine event, and we were there for lunch. I think it would be helpful to give some details about the family fun items on your website. Like when would be best to come to really get the most of the visit.
The service was amazing! We were seated right away, and our waitress was very attentive and helpful. She made sure we never ran out of sweet tea, and we were well taken care of
Our food came quickly. I was impressed with the burger, and my husband's dish was excellent as well.
My son ate his Mac&Cheese without complaint.
The restaurant had lots of fun things to look at and even a word search on the table.
There was a very impressive store inside The Hangout to purchase souvenirs.
Right before we left, they had people stand on tables if it was their birthday. They sand and staff even did the Macarena. My kids thought that was great.
Had a chance to visit The Hangout while on vacation in Gulf Shores. This is a really fun place to visit. The dining area is completely open with large tables. They had no trouble sitting our group of 10 with no reservations. They can accommodate quite a few people but be aware that there is live music and televisions and the atmosphere can be loud.
The food we got was excellent and included crab boil, fried pickles and calamari appetizer.
We had 20 people upon arrival to be seated. The hostess wouldn't even attempt to get us seated until every single person in our party was standing in front of her. She had an attitude and was very difficult to talk to. We had several people in our party with handicaps, and lots of children, so rounding them all up and having them stand and wait was a nightmare. But we finally got seated, only to find out they didn't get us enough seating, so after what seemed like forever we were given two big tables to accommodate our crew. After that everything was great. Kids had fun standing on the tables. I enjoyed the gift shop. A little pricey, but I got two of my favorite sweatshirts there. The prices are high, but the portions are good and the food was delicious. I had the bama burger. I ate the whole thing, which I later regretted . But it was the best burger I've had in a while
