Very crowded, went there to see the Christmas tree lighting early (4 hours early) and was kicked out because they supposedly needed to sanitize the place. Came back at the time they requested and was forced out of the grove because it was already full. But the vibes remain nice
This is a lovely bustling outdoor pedestrian mall. Tastefully decorated but also a good mix of regular brands and high end.
Probably one of the best I've been to anywhere
Ok we had not been to the Grove in quite a while, so we decided to come see the holiday decorations and have a nice dinner. The decorations were very nice and we had a very nice dinner at one the many restaurants here. Come enjoy some holiday cheer!
The Grove in LA is an absolute must-visit! This shopping center is truly a beautiful, immersive experience—it’s not just about shopping, it’s about enjoying a day out. From the stunning outdoor ambiance to the wide variety of stores, restaurants, and entertainment, there’s something for everyone. Whether you’re strolling along the tree-lined paths, catching a movie, or indulging in some delicious food, The Grove makes every moment feel special. It’s the perfect spot to spend an afternoon, with great vibes, plenty of options, and a unique atmosphere that’s hard to beat. Highly recommend making a day of it!
The Grove is one of my favourite places to visit in Los Angeles. I’ve been coming here for years and always love it.
There’s a lot of great shops, restaurants and places to hang out. There’s even a little park/fountain area to just relax, it’s a great place to people watch.
The parking is also so organized, for somewhere super busy, they have their organization really well put!
The Grove in Los Angeles is a superb high end shopping mall set along a bustling promenade and around a very attractive fountain and garden area.
Along the street you’ll find a range of luxury shops and eateries and certainly is a place that is very popular with locals and tourists.
Along the street is a Farmers Market which offers a magnitude of different stalls selling foods and a wide range of craft goods.
In the event you choose to drive here then there is also a large modern multi storey carpark immediately adjacent to the main area.
After leaving The Grove we walked all the way to Rodeo Drive. This was circa 3 miles or so and is easy to do if you fancy getting some steps in and exploring LA even more.
A Very Enjoyable Outdoor / Indoor Experience!
Calm, outdoor vibe, with lots of shopping options. And there are dining choices to fit every budget. The restaurants fronting on the walkway and fountain are expectedly more expensive (the view). But restaurants within the Farmers Market offer delicious choices at a more reasonable price.
Wife and I even enjoyed learning how to ride the Lime Scooters from The Grove (outside of Nordstrums) back to where we were staying. Imagine 62 year olds riding scooters…successfully! The Grove is just a very enjoyable experience! (Pictures taken were early morning, before the festivities start.)
High end mall, less choices.
This outdoor mall is located next to the famous Farmers Market. It has a very fancy movie theater and a small water fountain, plus a beautiful green garden. Therefore, the mall for shopping and dining areas, are very small with very few choices. Plus, those stores and shops, are high end prices with little choices. I can see that it may still appeal to tourists, but not for regular local people. However, the design of this mall was intended to look like a small town in Europe, so you can certainly feel the exotic atmosphere. However, since it is so small, so there are always a lot of people sitting around and walking around. The train was a lovely trait: it was fun and beautiful, but only run for a very short distance. You can walk through this whole area in 15 minutes then sit by the fountain to staring at the dancing water and relax.
