I needed a couple of hours to kill some time before my flight. Oh boy this was a great option. This aquarium got it right! So much to see and the curves and tuck aways made it am adventure. Bonus the have small cafes scattered about and gift shops. The exhibits were intimate and very informative. The look on the visitors faces were priceless. A good time. So many kids, young couples, and elderly. Wheelchairs were maneuvering and people seemed comfortable. It just felt welcoming. Bonus...the cost was actually reasonable. One more thing there are plenty of places to sit and take in the scenery. ‼️????
This was our second trip to the Dallas World Aquarium after 10 years. This place does not disappoint - - in terms of animals.
(Disappointing) To start, beware of where you park. Some lots will charge more than others. Shop around if you will, there are plenty of lots around the aquarium. We paid $16 then found out another lot only charges 10.
The animals appear to be well taken care of. The enclosures were clean and mostly odor free (I've been to zoos that reek). Only complaint is that many of the enclosures appear to be much too small.
There is a wide variety of animals. I was quite surprised even though it was my second time here. You will not be disappointed - many of these animals you will not find in a Zoo.
In all, the Dallas World Aquarium is a one-of-a-kind place. It is worth the visit.
Wow! Dallas Will the aquarium was amazing and well worth it. There is like four different levels and you can start on the bottom and go up or side of the top and go down. They have tons of animals it’s more than just an aquarium. They have monkeys, penguins, fish, sharks, stingrays, flamingos, birds, reptiles, insects, everything! It was so fun seeing all of the animals and most of them are free range so it’s like walking through a giant rainforest. There are so much to see and this is probably one of the biggest aquariums I’ve visited in a long time. I was very very impressed by all the animals that you could see. It was so fun and I can’t wait to go back!
Sadly it's a bit pricey. We had a decent time though.
It had tons of interesting birds and other land animals on top of the aquarium, so it's like a zoo and aquarium together (which is why it gets the 5 ⭐ rating)
It was crowded but we were still able to see everything.
I do wish there would be better signage. I feel like there was a few area we might have missed even though we looked at the map booklet they gave us.
Happy we went though. We were able to see a sloth less than 10 feet away and one of the free birds landed on a tree less than 5 feet away from me! So many interesting things to see.
It was a wonderful time and experience at the Dallas World Aquarium. It is a small space but well organized, and you will not miss anything. Few birds and fishes are placed outside of the main area, which you can see before buying the tickets.
Tons of colorful birds, animals, fish, reptiles, frogs, etc.
Go on a weekday if you want to avoid the crowd.
You can buy tickets online or at the center.
Paid parking is available near the center.
Though I'm inherently skeptical of zoos and aquariums because of their tendencies to provide inadequate enclosures for their exhibits, this aquarium seemed to have relatively good sized enclosures with lots of enrichment for the animals inside. The gift shop was expensive, but honestly what aquariums and zoos are cheap. At least the selection was broad and there was truly something for everyone. I had so much fun exploring this place with my friends.
The sign says Aquarium but it's basically a zoo, just without the bigger animals like elephants, zebras, and hippos. You will see different types of birds, reptiles, monkeys, crocodiles, turtles, frogs, and of course underwater creatures like sharks, manatees, and reef fish. While I enjoyed my visit here I do have to say the layout and design of some of the attractions could've been done better.
This place was expertly designed. What a fun experience with fish and animals from all over the world. Most zoos have 1 signature tank and this place had 2. It was world class and I had a great time. Plan on spending at least 3 hours here to be able to see all the place has to offer
