We stopped here on our healing journey to revisit some memories for my wife. While we didn't have all the food they had last time she visited, we definitely had a great spread. All of the food was mouth-watering and full of flavor.
The deviled stuff blue crabs were on point as well as the shrimp and crab dip.
The view on the deck encompassed an ocean atmosphere that made eating the seafood so delightful.
I highly recommend going there if you visit Tybee. Go early because they pack in fast.
Afterward, go check out the alligators. You might even find one posing for you.
Food was very good, crab legs a little too salty but still delicious. Smashed potatoes were really good, everything was. The decorations & ambiance is nice & thought out. The alligators are a plus!
As with any outdoor seafood spot, be prepared to fight some flies if you sit presence outside. & the drinks weren’t special & used bottom shelf liquor (plastic bottle if I’m not mistaken which is the cheapest of options & you can taste it).
Best place we went all week! The crab legs were very fairly priced and our server was great. The mango mojito was amazing. The entire place is so cool from the alligators to the friendly cats to the aviary. Definitely a can’t miss place!!
This was our first visit to The Crab Shack, they had no problem with seating 14 of us. The drinks were fun, non alcoholic beer was available too. The crabs were fresh and hot. Everything everyone ordered was delicious. The service was exceptional. The atmosphere is fun. Definitely a great restaurant to walk around. There are things to see all over. Including the alligators that you can also feed. If you happen to be in the area, I highly recommend paying thisplace a visit.
Nice ambience with live alligators, birds, open air dining under the tree. Kids will enjoy the place. Food is good for sea food lovers, who likes simple cooking and don't mind making their hands dirty. Not recommended for vegetarians. Casual and comfortable dining before getting on to the beach. Good portion sizes and value for money.
Dined in with a group of 24 youth and adults. Immediately greeted at the front and they got us tables really quickly. Service was top notch and due to my shellfish allergy I was able to sit separately from my friends who liked shrimp. Everything came out great, food was amazing! I got mussels and a pound of snow crab legs. I then ordered a slice of key lime pie for the road. After dinner I went over to the alligator pond and fed a couple of the gators with the gator pellets you can pay for. Overall great restaurant with a family friendly atmosphere, quality food, and great service. I’ll definitely come back for a visit.
One of the coolest restaurants I've been to aesthetically. The food is decent enough. I think they could use a bigger menu but like I said the food is good enough. We came back here for the experience. The gator pit is pretty cool. When in season you can feed them too!
Lots of food options! Mixed and matched seafood and sides. Full bar on-site so mixed drink options were excellent. Fun spot with great food. Service could have been better. Great atmosphere and then you get the alligators, which you can feed. Cats said hi also. We enjoyed our evening here very much!
