My husband and I recently booked a terrace suite with a wraparound balcony view of the strip for 2 nights. The room was huge, clean, and well decorated. The main bathroom was gorgeous and spacious- perfect for getting ready for big events or a night out. I liked that there were buttons you could use to indicate when you would like house keeping to clean your room versus when you would like to not be disturbed. My only complaints room-wise were that the room was musty and smelled faintly of cigarettes and left a lot of my clothes smelling that way too (even ones that never left the hotel room), and that there was no microwave/tea kettle/way to heat water or coffee maker. It also would have been nice for there to have been a filtered water station on each floor. Overall though, the room was great.
With respect to the hotel as a whole, it's a Vegas hotel for sure. Everything is glamorous but reeks of cigarettes, which is to be expected I suppose. As someone who's allergic to cigarette smoke though, I really wish Vegas hotels had better ventilation or ways to clean to get rid of the smoke (or, ideally, that they would stop allowing smoking indoors in the year 2024). Tons of great bars and restaurants to choose from in the hotel, but it's a bit frustrating that many of them don't open til 5 or 6 and a lot of the restaurants, even the food court ones, close shockingly early, considering it is a casino hotel.
All in all, the Cosmo is nice and perfectly fine for a Vegas hotel, but there are things that could be done to make it a 5-star, rather than a 4-star, hotel in my opinion.
We stayed in a very nice suite, multiple rooms, two beautiful full baths, kitchenette area.
If you're looking for casino action however, their casino is very small with no poker room.
If you're looking for the foodie scene, this is it. Multiple five star restaurants.
Lower end of the strip but still well within walking distance of most everything else. We walked up to The Venetian on a 100 degree day no problem.
Great stay at the Cosmo! We were upgraded to the one bedroom suite with Japanese tub and view of the strip. Beautiful room and this casino/hotel is exceptionally well kept! Many dining options and friendly service throughout the property. Even the Uber entrance and exit is much easier than other casinos. Thanks for a great stay!
Stayed here for a business trip for my husband. Beautiful spacious rooms. Love the balcony!
This is a big hotel, so many things to see, I am sure we missed a few!!
The front desk was so accommodating and friendly. We arrived early in the afternoon and they did everything they could to get our group at least one room were we could leave our bags and change. Amazing service.
I recently had the unfortunate experience of staying at the Cosmopolitan Hotel in Las Vegas, and I must say, it was a complete disappointment from start to finish.
First and foremost, we had booked a penthouse room with a balcony well in advance, and regardless of the rate we paid, we did not receive the room we reserved. Instead, we were given a penthouse room without a balcony. The balcony was a crucial reason for us to stay at the Cosmopolitan, as we wanted to enjoy the view of the whole city. This was incredibly disappointing. The front desk staff were unhelpful and unapologetic about the mix-up, and our complaints went largely ignored. For a hotel that prides itself on luxury, this was a major letdown.
The issues didn't stop there. Room service and housekeeping were always delayed and ridiculously charged. We waited over an hour for room service on multiple occasions, only to receive lukewarm food that was not worth the exorbitant prices. Housekeeping was inconsistent, often showing up late in the afternoon or not at all, despite our repeated requests for timely service.
The overall cleanliness of the hotel was subpar; our room was not thoroughly cleaned, with dust and stains in several areas. The amenities, which are touted as top-notch, were far from impressive. The pool area was overcrowded, and the supposed 'exclusive' feel was non-existent. Additionally, service at the restaurants was painfully slow, and the food quality did not match the high prices.
To top it all off, on our last day, the entire hotel experienced a water shutdown after midnight. This was a totally unacceptable incident, especially for a hotel of this supposed caliber. We couldn't shower, use the restroom, or even get a glass of water, and there was no communication or apology from the hotel management.
Overall, my stay at the Cosmopolitan Hotel in Las Vegas was a frustrating and disappointing experience. For the more than $20,000 a night we paid, one would expect exceptional service, cleanliness, and comfort, but the Cosmopolitan failed to deliver on all fronts. The whole experience was not worth the exorbitant price. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable stay in Las Vegas. There are many other options in the city that offer far better value and service.
It’s a nice location and decent hotel. Check in wait times were very long and service was prompt and a bit curt. Rooms were decently clean and big. Don’t see the need for the balcony but that’s just me.
The pool area was fine. Service was pretty great. Veronica checked in on us a lot and was friendly. Food was honestly a bit mediocre.
Casino floor is clean and felt safe. Servers check in on you a lot if you’re gaming, at least on weekends. Prices are in the $15-$25 range at tables for the most part. Sportsbook is close to the casino, has some natural light and very well staffed. The pool table there does suck and all but one of the cues did not have tips (unusable).
Our housekeeper Roxanna was outstanding. Overall I would recommend this hotel and I would probably stay here again!
Inside is lovely with an art deco styling to the main casino and fixtures. Dotted throughout the hotel are pieces of what I can only describe as almost experimental art. Tough to nail down exactly the focus of the art pieces. Filled with great restaurants our only complaint is the overwhelming smoke and potpourri smell you get throughout the first and second floors.
The Cosmopolitan has been my family’s go-to hospitality choice in Vegas since it opened, and there are countless reasons why. I couldn’t tell you how many times we’ve stayed there, but I can tell you with absolute certainty that we have always had a great time staying at the resort. It has the best selection of food options on the strip and is a fun and “hip” (according to my 53 year old Dad) place to stay. Casino staff is very pleasant. When I turned 21 I learned how to play nearly every game in THIS casino and there is a reason why I plan to return many times in the future.
