Wir haben uns für das Hotel entschieden, weil wir auf dem Blue Ridge Parkway rumcruisen wollten. Die Lage ist direkt am Parkway und viele Sehenswürdigekeiten sind rund um das Hotel vorhanden.||Es ist ein sehr schönes Hotel mit speziellem Charme. Die Aussicht ist wunderschön. Mann kann Stunden verweilen dort und nur in die Ferne schauen. Sie haben eine tollen Aussenpool, von dem man ebensfalls in die Berge schauen kann. Das Hotel ist sehr sauber und leise.Die Angestellten sind hilfsbereit und nett. Ein Restaurant ist angeschlossen, wo man Frühstücken kann, aber auch Mittagessen und Abendessen. Es gibt zudem eine Bar. Direkt beim Hotel stehen mehrere kleine Läden mit lokalen Artikeln. Zudem kann man zu Fuss schöne kürzere Wanderungen machen in der Umgebung. Wir haben zum Beispiel Rehe, Eichhörnchen und Truthähne gesehen.||Wir würden sofort wieder hingehen.
wir haben es wegen dem Namen gebucht und waren dann positiv überrascht, vor allem von den riesigen Frühstücksportionen. Ansonsten haben wir es wirklich nur zum Schlafen benutzt bei unserem Trip im Blue Ridge. Wir waren zur Rhododendron Blütezeit da (Mai -Juni )

My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary. This is a beautiful, quaint place to stay! The two sisters at check in are an asset to this place! They are so welcoming and know so much about the area. Also the young lady in the ice cream shop is so sweet and welcoming! We stayed in the Heidi Suite. It had recently been remodeled but we decided the living area furniture had not been updated. The couch cushions sank and had no padding and the 2 chairs in the living area were also worn completely out! The mattress on the bed was amazing and firm! Everything was so clean and we saw the housekeepers and they were so friendly! We ate at the restaurant and the food was delicious and the waiters/waitresses there are very professional and efficient! There is a nice fire pit area to sit and gaze at the mountains, horseshoes, and the pool and hot tub. You can walk everywhere you need to go. The dress is casual but we saw some people were dressed up for the dinner hour.
Stayed for 3 nights in August. Been going there for many years and have always enjoyed. They have new Owners after being family owned. Still has the family feeling. GM is very nice and accommodating. Wants to make sure you have a great time. Two very good restaurants. Chalet Restaurant has great views while dining. Pub atmosphere is very inviting. Close to Mt. Mitchell and Spruce Pine. Location is right on the Blue Ridge Parkway which makes it very easy to find. Employees are all very friendly. If you're looking for a peaceful getaway this is it. You won't be disappointed. Also being pet friendly makes it even more desirable.
We had a short stay at the Switzerland Inn. We were treated as family the whole time. The rooms were spacious, and the bed was quite comfortable. The portions in the restaurant are large enough to share. The views are spactular as well as hiking to a few of many waterfalls. I had booked a signature massage, and it was one of the best I have ever had! We will definitely be returning again!
The rooms are nice and clean. The views are one of a kind.
Service at the restaurant was weird. We asked about dessert and we're told one item and the table over asked and were given a full dessert menu. Also we were given a Manhattan instead of an espresso martini. That same drink was given to the same table over after we had taken a sip out of it. It was weird. But the food was amazing. Steaks and prime rib were top notch.
Massages for the wife and I were the best we had ever had.
This was a wonderful experience and totally appreciated.
Room had a few issues, but staff did everything in their power to fix and take care of it. That is all that's needed.
Food was excellent, with friendly and efficient servers.
Front desk staff went above and beyond to make our stay out of this world.
We are definitely back next year.
Location is picturesque with an unbelievable view.
