Brooke was our server and she was amazing. She made sure we all received accurate orders. She was friendly and cheerful. The diner had an awesome atmosphere and great music. The food was your typical strip mall food, but Brooke and the atmosphere made it worth it.
The shop was cute, but even more overpriced than you would expect at a place like this.
The Sunliner Diner in Pigeon Forge is absolutely amazing! The service is outstanding, and the staff goes above and beyond to ensure a fantastic dining experience. They are overly attentive, always checking in to make sure everything is perfect. It's clear they are happy and excited to be there, which adds to the positive atmosphere. We ordered the Barnyard Burger and King of Splits for dessert—both were absolutely amazing! The food is delicious, and the retro diner vibe is so much fun. Highly recommend visiting this gem for a great meal and exceptional service! Thank you, Mimoza, for everything! She was an incredible server!
We really enjoyed our lunch at the Sunliner Diner; the atmosphere is unique, casual, and fun. 1950s vibe with a nice variety of menu offerings. Portions are generous. Food was a bit on the salty side, so ask for no salt if you are watching your sodium intake. Plenty of on-site parking during our visit. The restaurant was busy on a random Monday, so there may be a wait for a table at this popular restaurant.
Recently my wife, son, and I had the pleasure of visiting the Sunliner Diner in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee for brunch. The diner's unique old-fashioned setup was impeccably executed, creating a nostalgic and charming atmosphere. We were impressed by the exceptional food quality and top-notch service provided by the friendly and enthusiastic staff. It was heartwarming to see the employees fully embracing the diner's theme, adding to the overall experience.
During our visit, my son selected a few songs on the jukebox, and we were delighted to see the staff joyfully dancing along as they worked. The warm and welcoming environment made us feel like part of the Sunliner family. To my surprise, my family arranged for a birthday celebration, and the employees joined in singing to me, making the occasion even more special.
While there was a minor inconvenience with parking with another customer, that could not have been foreseen by the diner, the manager's handling of the situation was commendable. Despite a potential confrontation, the manager resolved the issue gracefully, preventing any escalation. I appreciate the manager's professionalism and quick action in diffusing what could have been a challenging situation.
Overall, our experience at the Sunliner Diner was memorable, thanks to the delightful ambiance, fantastic food, and exceptional service. I extend my gratitude to the entire staff for making our visit truly enjoyable."
Amazing dinner. Our server, Glenn, was so good with our kids making sure the food was how they wanted it. Really good chicken fried steak. Breakfast is served all day. The white Russian adult milkshake was delicious. Neat menu printed in the style of a newspaper. Definitely recommend coming here if you're in Pigeon Forge and looking for a unique dining experience that isn't a show.
We loved stopping into the Sunliner. It was a random pick of all the places in Pigeon Forge. We were glad we picked here though. Food was classic diner style food. Came out fairly quickly. Atmosphere made you feel like you went back in time to the 50's. Our server Karri was awesome! Not only was did she give great service, but she offered her suggestions from the menu and even looked the part of a 50's diner waitress. Definitely worth a stop in if you're in town or looking for a place to eat while visiting Pigeon Forge.
Let me start off by saying I think our experience would have been better if we had a more experienced server. Our server was new and had to come back to the table atleast 7-8 times to confirm various aspects of the order. Several tables that sat after us got their food long before us and when we got ours it was cold. A few items were forgotten and we had to ask a few times to get them. Same with drinks. We were waiting on drinks til the end of the meal. So I do think the experience was hampered slightly.
Now for the food -
The fried pickles were excellent. Really good texture, great flavor. I would highly recommend these to any pickle enthusiasts.
I got the Avocado Eggs Benedict, and that was also excellent. Great veggie option for any vegetarians in your party. Perfectly poached eggs, fluffy biscuits, fresh avocado. Down right delicious.
My wife was less enthusiastic about her food. She didn’t care for the fish because it came pretty cold, and they forgot a few of her items. By the time they brought them the rest of the food was almost done.
My daughter got a great looking parfait, she loved that. And my brother got the chicken fried steak and eggs, which he said was incredible.
So my overall thoughts are that if you get a good server, the experience will be great. They come to the table and take pictures, the atmosphere is super cool, especially if you get to eat in or near one of the cars.
We had such a great time. Brooke was our server and she was amazing. You have to try the milkshakes, they’re awesome. This diner brought back such great memories for my mom! Love it!
