First time at this restaurant last night. It’s located in a strip mall, and the design of the restaurant is trendy and a little loud, but not to the point where it was disruptive when we sat down. The food was wonderful, the sushi was fresh and there was a large selection of sushi, rolls and non-sushi items. The other two people in my party both ordered the steak filet and it was fantastic - a bit surprising for a sushi place! Our server was a bit slow about 1/3 of the way through our meal, but we noticed he got sat two larger tables. I don’t know who was watching (manager?) but others came in his absence to check on us and bring us what we needed - we were well taken care of, and that was so appreciated. We were happy with the variety of menu items offered, and it was reasonably priced for what it is. We will definitely be back!
Note: the photo I added of the volcano roll is missing the spicy mayo sauce, which they put on the side for us, as not everyone in our party can have mayonnaise.
We will definitely be returning. The food is AMAZING!! The ambiance is spectacular!! And the service is top shelf !! Our servers name was Lauren she was amazing , the most attentive most kind server we have ever had. Thank you so much soya. See you again soon!
The food was great and delicious. It was our first time and Andrea was super helpful with great explanation of the menu. We loved the vibe and ambiance of the restaurant. Recommended 100%
I came for my birthday celebration. Amazing food and service!!! 100/10. Tamara our server, as well as the rest of the staff were attentive, quick to bring out the food and all friendly. The food was OUT OF THIS WORLD. I had the tamarind margarita and guanabana madness drinks, highly recommended. Sushi pizza was delicious. They also sang happy birthday for me, it was A PARTY! Great birthday plan!
It’s a bit a very new and weird (in a neutral way) dining experience for us to had Sushi here. The atmosphere felt like a club and there were live music with electrical violin. The Sushi offered here were 150% (South) Americanized. And there were cream cheese and mayonnaise in every single dish we ordered.. Food tasted okay and service was pretty good.
Recently, I had dinner at Soya Sushi Bar and overall had a good experience, but there are some things that I feel can improve. Beginning with the positives, the staff were all very friendly, there is tons of parking, the food / drinks all came in a timely manner, and there were some definite standouts on the menu. When it comes to drinks, I'd definitely recommend ordering the Honey Bee cocktail. The flavors in it are absolutely perfect and pair well with the seafood on the menu. As for the food items, you definitely have to try the sushi pizza, volcano roll, and pineapple chaufa. These dishes were all really good and I'd definitely order them again. Although I enjoyed the spot overall, I do think some things should improve. To begin with, I felt like most of the cocktails we ordered either had way too little alcohol (tasted like juice) or had way too much (which made them less enjoyable). In some of the drinks, the alcohol just completely overpowered the other ingredients which wasn't good. When it comes to the menu, I just feel like some of the items are way too much of a fusion for me (such as the salmon croquettes). Coming from a person that eats pretty much everything, some of the flavor profiles were just a bit too "fusion" for their own good. Otherwise, I felt the service was a bit lacking. Although the waitress did walk by a few times, she never offered water or checked in on how things are going till we flagged her down (shouldn't be the case in a restaurant w/ an automatic tip). Overall, it was a fine experience, but I do feel like some improvements could be made to make the experience even better.
Great food and great waitress. She was very pleasant and had great suggestions. I would definitely come back and hope i get her again María Daniela.
Soja Sushi Bar offers a delightful culinary experience with its amazing food that truly stands out. The sushi is fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented, making it a must-try for sushi lovers. However, the dining experience is somewhat marred by slow service, which can be frustrating, especially during peak hours. Additionally, the ambiance tends to be quite noisy, making it challenging to enjoy conversations. Overall, while the food impresses, the service and atmosphere could use some improvement.
