Love going to concerts here. Parking is free (big issue these days in Vegas). The venue doesn't have a bad seat in it, really, except maybe the very back booths). The price of the tickets is quite reasonable. The strip these days is insanely high. It has great restaurants and also slot machines that let you play and even win! All in all, it is easy to get in and out and always have a good time. Drinks are very reasonably priced as well.
Always have a great time at South Point Hotel & Spa. It has everything to keep you entertained & staff members are awesome. You don't have to go outside the hotel unless you absolutely WANT to see other attractions. Otherwise, they offer a wide range of entertainment. Bowling, movies, shows, awesome spa, eateries, and if you are a gambler slot & tables. Will come back & absolutely recommend it to others.
South Point Hotel is a very well run Casino Resort in "South" Vegas adjacent to I-15...the atmosphere is
low key, but with many options for fun and frivolity. The property is clean, parking is convenient, and the Staff are ever present
in each Resort department.
Uniquely among hotels, South Point is Equestrian centric and offers a fantastic Arena for special Horse events. There is a substantial Conference Center, great Stages, and multiple Restaurants.
The Casino is always friendly, the Sports Bar is always showing worldwide Sport on the big Screens with comfortable seating for all. The separate Card Room is always crowded, the tables as well. Cocktail servers are easy to find, and busy on the Casino floor.
There are numerous nice Food & Beverage choices, including a Starbucks at the Front door, and offering Pendleton Whiskey proudly at the Bars.
Today, 4 May '24, South Point hosted a nice and well-managed Kentucky Derby Party in their upstairs Ballroom. See flyer attached.
Of course, there were plentiful Mint Juleps served to support the theme of Churchill Downs Race Day 2024, nice light "Easy Eats" available at reasonable prices and nicely presented, Lovely Ladies in flowery hats, and happy attendees placing their bets.
The special event vibe in the room was a good one. People showed up to watch Horse racing on a good Saturday in May, they were dressed for the track - and a well managed party was experienced by all.
This special event was a winner by South Point's Event's team!
Rooms are spacious. The AC was set for 60° when we got there, way too cold and a waste of resources. We've stayed here many times over the last decade, and they still haven't upgraded the shower heads to ones that let you control the pressure. I've suggested that many times before, it's an inexpensive fix for a water starved region. If you spend much time in the casino, bring a light jacket, it's cold in there as well. We ate at Don Miguel's and at the Coronado Cafe, both had great food and good service. One of the best perks is that parking is free in their garage! And the pool area is very nice as well.
I arrived on one of the hottest days this year on my motorcycle. I was overheated and dehydrated. The security team met me in the parking garage with water and an EMT. They were fast and efficient, not to mention life-saving. They assisted with getting my bike unloaded and to the front desk to check in. All staff here are just amazing. This facility may be off the grid a bit, but it's definitely worth it.
Great hotel room for a great price. Note: pretty much all Vegas properties have a resort fee on top of the advertised rate.
Rooms are nice, clean.
Spa at South point is good with locals and military discount.
Free parking
All services were great, from restaurants to housekeeping. One small issue I noticed. We stay at the South Point 3 to 4 times a year. The front desk staff never smile. This last trip was no different. Check in person, just matter of fact. Here's your keys, elevators to your right. When I checked out, the manager, did the check out, first time someone smiled.
I really like South Point. VERY underrated. Great vibe, but more laid back than the famous Strip properties. Monstrous casino floor, multiple bars, and restaurants. I've never had a bad meal at any of them. From Steak and Shake to ultra high-end Michael's, there's one for any taste or budget. HUGE bowling center, 16 screen movie theater, and a first-class Sports Book, many locals go there on a regular basis. Friendly staff for a large resort. Pool is comfortable, plus there is a huge Equestrian Center that hosts many national events. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Great place!
