We rented a room for the day since we had a late night flight to go back home. We'd come in from Death Valley and wanted a place to relax. I'd recommend this for the proximity to the car rental return/airport. They had a good happy hour at their restaurants and bars. Lots of gambling areas, room was decent sized and comfortable. Free valet parking was helpful too. Staying here meant we could clean up, not worry about luggage, relax and get some gambling in before heading home!
I was staying at South Point from December 15-17 for a mini vacation. Unfortunately, on December 16th, I had a medical emergency and was admitted to a hospital during my stay. I spoke to the hotel staff about my incident, and they have been very accommodating about my situation by giving me a discounted rate to stay extra days due to me being hospitalized. I want to thank the front desk manager, Amanda, for being empathetic and helping me.
Also, I would like to say how impressed I am with this hotel. It’s very clean and pristine. I like how the room setup is with the nice hardwood floors instead of carpets. I would definitely be coming back here.
Very nice casino/resort. It's my second stay. Staff is friendly and helpful. Rooms are good but nothing extraordinary. The price is very reasonable. It's not near the strip though and the food is slightly overpriced. I would come return.
What an absolutely PERFECT place to be on a Thanksgiving holiday!!!! All staff members were professional and pleasant, great spacious room with an outstanding view, delicious thanksgiving meal at Primarily Prime Rib, fun casino! We plan to make South Point an annual tradition! We only got a few members names at the restaurant (sorry): Steven (server), Vernon, Maria...but there were many more who made our vacation memorable - front desk, bell hop ... and so, so many behind the scenes (chef, cooks, kitchen staff), casino floor workers, custodians, etc...please know we are so appreciative of them working on the holiday so that we can have fun!
If your a slot player, hard pass on this place. Old slots machines, seriously old, no new poker machines, buttons don't work on a lot of them. We were gonna stay for two nights but is so bad, were leaving. We only come down to Vegas ever 6 years, not often. Don't go here. we regretted it big time. Room was nice but not worth having to spend any time in the casino. The music they play overhead is awful, really awful. Honest, I cannot tell you how awful this casino is.
My wife and I stayed here on our way back from Death Valley National Park. We were just in for one night to rest up for a morning flight out of LAS. We're not casino people. We just needed a nice bed and their hotel was the best deal in the vicinity of the airport.||Check-in/out was an absolute breeze. They had a self check-in kiosk so we were able to get our room keys with no wait in line. We were also able to check out on our room TV, making both processes quick and easy.||As for the room, it was spacious and the bed was super comfortable. We got a great night's sleep. The only issue we had was the bath spout didn't fully switch to the shower head when we pulled up on it, so it made for a little bit of a standing in a puddle while in the shower. A minor issue that didn't affect the quality of our stay. We would stay again.
We discovered South Point Hotel Casino & Spa a few years ago when we went for the Glass Expo and now when we go to Las Vegas this is where we stay! This hidden gem is located South of the airport on the strip (so if you are looking for a hotel that is centrally located on the strip this is not for you but Uber can get you there) and has so many things to offer! 11 restaurants, 2 bowling alleys, huge movie theater, a HUGE Bingo Hall (y'all this ain't your granny's bingo either... you can win BIG money) and a huge equestrian center! The rooms are spacious and clean too! We always visit the spa when we come into town and highly recommend a visit! South Point Hotel Casino & Spa is very affordable, spacious and fun!
I've been here for a glass bead show before. The rooms were pretty good. I went to meet up with my cousin this time and visit the PRCA convention. It's a whole different world from when I came here for the bead show. The whole back parking lot is transformed into a couple of arenas for calf roping. I stayed in the condos behind South Point, and you could see the horse trailers and arenas from the room. The only bummer is that there is no gates towards the back of the condos and you have to walk all the way through the front like you're going to the casino but then hook a left and walk all the way. It took me about 15 minutes from the room to the arenas. The hotel is very accommodating to everyone who is there for the event. I look forward to going next year.
