We didn't ski. We just drove up to check it out since we were only in town on business. The staff at the equipment rental shop were amazing. It was so helpful and informative. if you are in need of equipment rental, I would definitely recommend this place. the facility is well kept and clean.
My family and I attended Oktoberfest in Utah, held at Snowbird Ski Resort in the Wasatch Mountains. It is a beautiful place for a festival. The weather was great. Even though we were high in altitude and it was fall, the sun was bright, and the air was warm, fresh, and crisp. We got there an hour early and got a great parking spot a few minutes walk from the entrance. We also got there early enough to sit in the comfy couches under the shade and watch the vendors set up. There were restrooms in the lodge (2nd floor) and outside as well. A huge beer hall was set up with seating being rotated often and available all day. Some of my family brought their mugs but purchased the nice new design anyway. The pretzels, big, so big with a lot of beer cheese. Themed bands played all day in the hall, and we got to participate in The Beer Song. Thank you, Snowbird, for hosting such a lovely day out at Utah's 2024 Oktoberfest
We visited Snowbird on a weekday. Thought about waiting until 5 pm for twilight pricing of a summer activities unlimited pass. But decided to spend $70 per person and come early around noon. It was well worth it. We were able to do the majority of the activities for a total of 15-20 times over a 4 hour period, plus one time up and down on the tram. (If you are riding only the tram and not doing any of the activities, I would recommend only buying the single tram ride ticket since one time up and down was sufficient to take in the breathtaking view.)
The kids had tons of fun, as well as the adults. Kinda of wish they would let you race against your friend on the Alpine Slide, but totally understand why they don’t let you for safety reasons.
Favorite rides were the Mountain Coaster, Alpine Slide, and the Bungee Trampoline. The ropes course was hard for kids, but they were able to manage the kids ropes course just fine. Summer tubing was a dud because the weather was hot that day, so the tube traveled only halfway down the track because the dryness on the lower part of the track stopped the tube.
All of the summer workers we interacted with were nice and courteous.
Snowbird resort was awesome! The rooms were cleaned every single day thanks to the lovely housekeeping staff. The front desk was always super kind and ready to help in any situation.
The kitchen staff at the resort were a blessing as well. I was there for a conference and all of the catered breakfast lunches and dinners were delicious!
Along with that the resort staff were wonderful and always super friendly and kind!
10/10 I would recommend staying even in the summer!
Went for Oktoberfest. Fun vibe and great atmosphere. Has grown tremendously over the past few years so if you don't like large crowds, it might not be your cup of tea. Family friendly for older ages.
I have been coming up here with my family since I was 2 years old. We started off with one room timeshare at the Iron Blossom lodge. Eventually my parents added a second room as our family grew. This last october, we went up with my parents and all of their family which includes my siblings and I and our spouses and all of our kids.. this year it required seven rooms. Still an absolutely amazing wonderful time with the family, the pool is amazing, the game room is fun, and the hiking the wonderful scenery the snowbird center. Can't wait to go up again next year
Hotels are getting worn. The help seem to be just ski bums having a summer job. Only caring bout themselves. Doing the bare minimum to keep there job. The mountains and views are stunningly incredible. The Steak Put restaurant is always delicious. Was tired of our Debbie Downer of a waitress and their woes. But all in all a good trip
Well it was the biggest BS Oktoberfest I've ever seen. What a sham. They required everyone who wanted a beer to purchase a cheap glass stein for $18 then pay another $16 to fill it with beer. I passed. It's mostly a bunch of vendors hawking trinkets and souvenirs. Save your money. This definitely isn't worth it.
