Excellent park! Really enjoyed the water areas! Parking was simple with the app! Highly recommend downloading it before you go. Cute little picnic shelters in the parking lot! They allowed us to bring in our own water bottles in our bags. Concert area, I recommend getting there a bit early to score seats that don't have the poles blocking the stage. They also have water bottle refill stations in that area.
Love that the crowds and line ups were so great , especially when comparing wait times at Canada's wonderland .
Rides were pretty good although more could be added to make tge experience better! Very affordable and the meal plan is an awesome deal. Food every 90 min in comparison to every 4 hrs at other parks! Overall my family had a great experience this past long weekend (labour day weekend)
Don’t bother going half stuff never running. And definitely don’t buy the passes I been trying to cancel after the year and here I am can’t get nobody to call back when u get an email they won’t give you your own info and still being billed The only thing more of a scam than these passes is the actual parks themselves. If you like waterslides go to Kalahari in PA beautiful place way better.
We have been coming to this park camping for many years. Both with my parents and now bringing my family. Very much enjoy the cabins and camping with the easy amusement park access. Everything about the campsite was generally a good experience. Very pleasant staff!
Miss the days before Six Flags. Don’t understand why the access needs to be restricted the way it is from the campground area to the park. No reason these gates cannot be monitored for park pass access. I also hope the amusement park starts putting more effort into maintenance. This year we could noticeably see the decline in the park. Unfortunate to see. Shops and games closed, roofs needing repair and paint peeling. Cleanliness was average at best, and the food prices were outrageous.
There also needs to be better maintenance to the various lakes around the property. Very much overrun with algae and turning very swampy. Especially the main lake around the campground where my kids enjoy fishing. Some cleaning and dredging are highly recommended.
We will return, we love the memories with our family. Just hope the park turns around in the coming years.
We had an amazing day at Six Flags Darien Lake! The water rides were super fun and perfect for all ages. The roller coasters were thrilling and left us wanting more. While the food was a bit expensive, it was very good and definitely worth it. For the price of admission, we had a super fun and memorable day. Highly recommend!
Spent perfect summer day at Six Flags at Darien Center with a group of teenagers. I was able to sit by the wave pool and read for a good portion of the day while the kids had fun exploring the park. Being with teenage boys, I purchased the unlimited drink and dining package for them. Totally worth it. It’s supposed to be a meal & snack every 90 minutes & unlimited drinks. Unfortunately they don’t put many details on their website. Once that was figured out, the boys were fine. Service is extremely slow and not very friendly (just observation throughout the day). It’s not like going to Disney or Universal. Lines are long, and employees seem like they’d rather be somewhere else. For example, two of the boys I was with played the basketball game. There was a line and after the two kids in my group were finished - they just closed the game. Cut off the rest of the line and people were not happy. It was 7pm! They saw there was a line and they didn’t care. It’s such an odd customer service business model. Same with getting drinks or food throughout the day. This was observed at many of the stations, but the one that comes to mind is when there were three people in the booth and one person was waiting on customers and two others were standing in the booth not waiting on anyone - there was a line and I could hear the guy behind me say ‘are you kidding me? 3 people in there and only one is serving customers?’
It’s great entertainment. Safe rides. Kids have fun. However don’t expect any good or great level of service.
Great value at this park. Ticket prices are reasonable and the all you can eat food pass is worth it even if you only use it a couple times - the portions are huge. We didn't have to wait on line for more than 5 min for most rides and a max of 15 for the busy ones. Went here every year as a kid years ago before it was six flags. Was great to bring my son and relive the memories and see what's new and different.
A wonderful family tradition. We come every year and stay in the cabins and love it. Our favourite area is Cabin B section. The camping area is so clean and tidy. Of note, we arrived when a large religious group was coming for a weekend and we we only allowed one night rental of the golf carts as the group rented all the carts (this is what we were told) I think the carts should be used by everyone at the park and the religious group could rent when they arrived not prebook the carts.
