Best WLM Reviews
Neat local restaurant in town with some history. Many land owners have signed their Brand on the wall above the bar, which is a tradition that goes back a while. Plenty of seating whether at the bar in front or tables towards the back where the pool table is. Great brisket.
Definitely worth the visit. All the food there is amazing. The ribeye dinner is over the top! Cooked to perfection with all the flavors. Mac n cheese is delicious. Definitely my favorite spot in Susanville!
I heard from a little bird that they served Pork belly bites. Can we say yummy ????. Tender and full of flavor. Perfect for snacking on. So I got some pulled brisket to take home. Once again fantastic. Great for Sammie's or on a salad. Well I couldn't possibly stop there. Came home today with a double order of the sliced brisket. When I opened the box a single tear rolled down my cheek . I haven't had brisket like this since I left the south. They will be seeing a lot of me. Thank you for the fabulous food and a great place to feel welcomed into . I wanted to add a picture but I'm old and can't figure out how so I'll just say go try it. You won't be disappointed
4/14/23: Excellent ribs. Maybe the best I've ever had and I've had ribs all over the country including in Memphis and Kansas City. I asked the friendly owners and they explained their elaborate cooking process and it pays off. The brisket sandwich is very good too. Also the restaurant is in a very cool historical building and they have a pool table and corn hole which you can play while you wait for the food. Definitely worth a visit. If I lived in this town I'd be here all the time!
The only reason I gave the food a 3 was the quantity. Other than that the flavor was excellent. I came in and ordered for 4 adults so I ordered 4 main dishes and 4 sides. When I ordered the fried chicken thighs I didn't know it would be chicken tenders little disappointed on that. I also ordered sliced brisket. I assumed when I opened the box there would.be at least 4 slices there was only 2. The ribs were great. I was told there was going to be alot.of.food but there really wasn't. My husband was the only one that got brisket due to only having 2 slices. I just think the quality needed to be more. Maybe it's different if you dine in. I will come back that's for sure but I just think the quantity needs to be a little more or you need to.let people know how little you will get.
Pretty good bar-b-que. The large sides are good. Friendly service is welcoming. Bottled beer. Family and dog friendly. Free street parking.
This place is amazing. Should be a 6 star rating. Amazing food and a great atmosphere. I was passing through Susanville and stopped for a quick bite and this ranks as one of my best decisions. Brisket sandwich with Mac and cheese. Best Mac and cheese I have ever had! If you are in Susanville or passing through, eating here is a must.
We had the cheeseburger and fries, half rack ribs with mule kick and beer and dr pepper. The burger was perfectly done, the bread lightly toasted and delicious. The ribs were tender and most, and the sweet and spicy bacon goodness of mule kick was divine. I got a bottle of Dr pepper made with cane sugar to wash it down. The decor is perfect to the locale, with emphasis on the history. Check put the viewing window with the old dumbwaiter when you walk in. The staff was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly, in a relaxed and personable way. We played cornhole and pool, chess and puzzles among tables lifted from home kitchens like we grew up in. I will definitely be going back to try that Mac and cheese!!
