It was a warm afternoon. Sat outside and it was pleasant enough under the awnings with a nice breeze. Table was dirty when we first sat, so we had them clean it again. Service was good. Fried pickles were tasty, I liked the chips and the breading was good. The sandwiches were okay. You get a large serving for the price.
A MUST! This place is a lot of fun the staff is awesome and so nice and so informative. we had the fried green tomatoes as an appetizer and is some of the best we've had. I had the shrimp Trio and it was amazing some of the best coconut shrimp I've ever had it was a filling meal also my wife had the she-crab soup and she loved it. Worth the money. Place is packed and i see why!

We recently dined at Shaggy’s on the Beach while moving my daughter into the University of West Florida, and it was a fantastic experience! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was inviting and vibrant.
The food was absolutely delicious. We tried a variety of dishes, and each one was fresh and flavorful. The seafood was particularly noteworthy—perfectly cooked and seasoned to perfection.
The service was impeccable. Our server was attentive and friendly, making great recommendations and ensuring our glasses were never empty.
And let’s not forget the view! Dining with the sunset over the beach was a gorgeous backdrop to our meal, enhancing the entire experience.
Overall, we loved our visit to Shaggy’s and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great meal with stunning views. We’ll definitely be returning during future visits to Pensacola!
Wife and I visited this place early December mainly because the website mentioned gluten free options.
We went for lunch and place was quiet. We had our little pup with us and sat outside. We had great service and several staff popped over to say hi to the pup!
I had a shrimp po boy which was tasty. Tons of shrimp and excellent bread. Wife had a crab Cobb salad which had plenty of crab and was delicious.
Our pup even had lunch - they have a "good boy" menu. He had a burger.
Overall, place was fun; location was great; and staff were friendly and helpful.
I’ve lived here for a few years now and have never stopped by because I seen a few bad reviews . Today while looking for a dog friendly place, Shaggy’s came up. We decided to stop by for lunch. Best decision we’ve made all weekend! The service was amazing, the food was delicious, drinks were great and it was just an all around great place! They were not only great to us, but to our fur baby! They brought him out a fresh bowl of nice cold water that he enjoyed. I give it a 5 star review!!! We will definitely be back!!!! ????????????????????
We lived to your well over 30 years and we have never stopped at Shaggy’s in the past… We were greeted by an amazing bartender Bree who guided us to the most wonderful lunch fried green tomatoes stuffed poke avocado and pork Hawaiian tacos. Everything was on point today, we got a visit from the GM which was inviting… If you’re local, you should certainly give them a try! OK again poke stuffed avocado amazing……. Give the kitchen, big love!
I have eaten at 2 Shaggy's in Mississippi and now Florida. This is by far the coolest experience ever. Our server Lauren was absolutely fantastic. The food is always amazing, the atmosphere is great and our server Lauren made it perfect. Absolutely the best sunset view on Pensacola beach. Will definitely come here again every time I visit Pensacola. 5 stars for real
Lauren was an amazing server! She explained the menu and made great suggestions and was clear on the order! Food was delicious! Only negative was the royal reds shrimp plate was old looking and had a funny smell, other than that the crab cakes, the she crab soup was delicious, the shrimp trio was excellent! Fish tacos were my favorite! Atmosphere was fun, inviting and the service was great!
