Absolutely beautiful! This was my favorite part of the trip, we visited the Riverwalk pretty much every single day we were here on vacation. It's located right in the downtown area. It's located just below the main streets and there's plenty of ways to get up and down it. Lot's of restaurants and some shopping stores. One elevator from the main street for the handicapped that leads down to it. One outdoor public restroom, but in order to use restaurant/store restrooms you have to purchase something. It does lead to a mall that has public access to restrooms. Open 24/7 for walking access, beautifully lit up at night. Boat tours available that are roughly 30 minutes, all animals welcome (we saw a huge snake on a gentleman.) Kid friendly, smoking allowed for those who smoke. I highly recommend visiting if you're in the area, you could spend the whole day here or just go for a quick visit. Extremely close to the Alamo.
Absolutely beautiful place!! There is a lot of walking, so be careful if it's hot out. Most places are a/c. Don't forget to take the boat ride. For your best money, go to Groupon and get the city card. It is well worth the money. We had a great time.
Wonderful place to hang out with family and friends on an evening especially on holiday or weekends. No entry fee or tickets required to enter. Most fun-filled activities like food, drinks, shopping, music and touring boats are some of the attractions for keeping 5 stars. This place seems more safe and in walkable distance, if you stay in any near by hotels.
Great place for a long walk! There are so many pretty things to see on the side of the walk, there are also lots of restaurants on the sides. They also have a boat ride down the river that says a lot of things about the place. The other great thing is that it is right next to the Alamo and you can easily walk to either place. Overall great to do for a walk, and pretty sights.
The San Antonio Riverwalk is a beautiful walkway along the River. There are hundreds of wonderful places including: monuments, restaurants, bars, shops, churches, hotels and much more. The landscaping is beautifully manicured, the area is very clean and well maintained. The boat rides down the river are very enjoyable and the tour guides are funny and informative. We really enjoyed our visit and the boat ride is a great deal. .
It’s nice place to walk around. It has plenty of shops and restaurants on the river bank on both sides. Parking can be done using city garages. There are many choices of shops and restaurant.
If you are visiting during day time, bring water and hat as it gets hot during day in Summer. Evening time is much prettier due to lighting.
Overall a fun place to hang out for whole day with family.
We always have the best time walking the Riverwalk San Antonio. I recommend going during the week and also trying it at night. It’s less crowded during the week for sure. It’s definitely hot during the summer! This is a fun getaway for families and for couples! Just know that parking is gonna cost $10-20 in this area.
