Best WLM Reviews

The food was pretty good. Coming from Baltimore, I always have reservations about seafood in other cities. However, I was very happy with the food here. The service was the best part of the experience. Joshua, our server, was one of the nicest people we’ve met and took the time to connect with us and be personable. We never had to ask for anything because he was always watching and suggesting. This was our last stop before we head home from celebrating our anniversary and Josh made sure that we had a great time!!
We came here for brunch and it was amazing! Our server Cynthia had amazing Customer service; she gave great recommendations and kept us updated on our food. She was kind, funny and very professional. Our food and bottomless mimosas were delightful. The cornbread was our favorite. We cannot wait to visit again.
My husband and I came here to celebrate our anniversary while on vacation. Everything was beyond great, the food was delicious. Thomas our server was amazing and gave us great service. He suggested the grilled herb marinated octopus as appetizer and it did not disappointed. 10/10. We ordered the seafood tower for 2 and it was also a 10/10.
From the Board for Two, to the drinks and the waterfront views, this tucked away gem was a dream. Josh was amazing, super knowledgeable and made us feel at home. Even our baby daughter loved it too. If you’re in Miami it’s an absolute must visit. It was the perfect choice for Mother’s Day for my wife! You won’t regret it!
The view is amazing! We celebrated an early Mother’s Day and it was wonderful. Service was great, thank you Marcel! Food was delicious, I had the lobster and shrimp risotto super yummy! Miami skyline view is beautiful. Highly recommend.
Melissa made our family lunch such a delight with her positive attitude. She also made great recommendations for the food. We enjoyed the food, drinks, and overall experience today thanks to Melissa! We’ve come many times to the rusty pelican and this experience far exceed the other times!
The food and drinks were amazing. The View was out of this world. Big thank you to Cynthia and Fernando for excellent service. They were so kind and accommodating. This was definitely a great post deployment stop. Thank you.
Extremely extremely overrated.
Pros:
- views (only good outside and in some inside seating)
- good food presentation
- good drinks
- kid-friendly (they had a kid menu, and families were dining here)
Cons:
- excessively overpriced
- food was decent at best (oysters were too fishy, grilled octopus was burnt and hard to chew, risotto was good but on the mushier side)
- kid-friendly (lots of screaming children, which I understand they can’t control, but it’s worth noting since this place is supposed to be lauded for its atmosphere)
Overall I spent over $180 dollars for everything pictured (90 per person), and I would not recommend. Unless you get the perfect seating, the atmosphere alone is not worth it. I would not be coming back. If you honestly want good food, good service, and a great view, you’d be better off going to La Mar.
