Redondo Beach Pier is absolutely stunning! There is plenty to do in the nearby area. There is great food at the pier, there are a few gift stores as well, and places to go fishing at. If you have kids or you yourself like to skateboard there is s small skate park there. It is a great place for friends to hangout and also for family of all ages. Also plenty of parking.
Like to come here sometimes.
But whenever I was at these areas, I did miss Laguna sooooo much because of the angelic turquoise water, and it felt like a heaven.
So I can only give 4 stars to this beach. But I love the walking lane on the top of residential area. So nice to walk here.
I lived in Redondo in the early 80’s, as a teenager, moved away, visited again in the early 90’s and hadn’t been back until Nov 2024. Half the pier is old school shops and food, while other half is modern concrete. I wish the Fun Factory was still there, but Old Tony’s is probably the oldest and most intact landmark. Would be nice to see the city restore some of the original structures. The pier is still a cool destination, but pales in comparison to its heyday.
Good relaxing walk and beautiful sunset. John is there every day making gigantic bubbles. Please do not leave your kids burst his bubbles. People enjoy watching the bubbles flow in the air!!!
Been coming here for years, came on Sunday very early before 9:00 parking right in front. Really nice views fishing if that's your thing some bars located on the marina. The only big negative is that the food has gotten very expensive over the years and portions have gotten smaller. There are boat activities located at Marina area such as paddle boat, whale watching, and glass bottom viewing.
It was to rain the day I went to Redondo Pier, this past Tuesday. I had the idea of renting one of the quaint cottages set out in the area I call the back end of Redondo, they look real cool and the road thru them and on to the rear parking is winding. You just gotta see them. Anyway I park and unload my gear then make my decent down to the fishing part. All around are fast food restaurants of every sort, and you have to try out the fresh “Steamed clams on the half shell”, great bite. They have an area where a family can sit and view everything plus picnic; and further down are spots where you can do the same plus fish !!! It’s totally unique and plenty of room to accommodate groups as well. It stays open 24/7; some restaurants stay open later than others but the pier lights stay on all night. I did a couple of all nighters and loved it so much that I did a couple more. Gotta try it folks.
I love coming to this beach!! The views are very nice here especially when the sun is setting, it's a really nice view. The pier is also a very nice place with a variety of gift shops, restaurants, and souvenirs. This beach is a very nice place to go to.
This place is just way better in my opinion with easy parking underneath the Pier and not crowded compared rest of the piers in Los Angeles. Lot of restaurants and magnificent views from this Pier. Nice relaxing environment, makes you feel like your in a different state.
