Best WLM Reviews
2 weeks ago I had the Lamb tibs so tender and plenty of meat and juice! Authentic taste, fresh injera! The side veggies cabbage and carrots perfect. No one to welcome you when you walk in so if you don’t speak the language they kinda look at you strange and don’t greet you with even a hello! The atmosphere could use some music. Only the bar tv on to entertain footballers. The seating was very comfortable. I would definitely recommend this place
The service was great, nice people. I think it was the owner who went around the store greeting the guests. My only complaint is that the rice was soggy to me which when you add the stew to it, it makes me more wet. Plus, I wanted it spicy and didn't get it spicy. Next time I'll ask to have the stew separated from the rice. The sambusas was delicious though
It's a fun option, very different than most food offerings in the area. It's generally shared, communal eating with one's hands.
While novelty should be expected to command a slightly higher price, I feel the prices are a tad high for the food -- which is undoubtedly flavorful.
Impeccable, cooked to order, fresh food. I have nothing but great things to say about the food and the service. I ordered fish tibsi, in which was delicious. The dishes are made to order, so please ensure that you have time in your schedule to wait for the food to be prepared. I can not wait to go back!
This review is overdue. I'd been driving past, wanting to try this place for a while. I used Uber Eats for dinner on Wednesday, 12-21-22. I ordered the fish tibsi (whiting fish), beef sambusa, and cheesecake. They also gave me plenty of injera. The tibsi came with two vegetables. The sambusa were full of meat. I had plenty of food leftover for the next day.
It was a good dinner after a long work day. The next time I have the taste for Ethiopian food, I'd definitely order again or visit.
Food was very tasty and Injera was fresh. Plenty of parking as well which is a big plus in CLT!
Like all Ethiopian restaurants you can expect to wait 35-60 minutes for your food. However, you will be completely satisfied once it arrives. This spot was playing Ethiopian music videos on YouTube - something I've never experienced at these restaurants so that was a nice treat! Later in our meal they began a nightly coffee and popcorn ceremony where someone roast coffee beans in a small pot over a fire and pops popcorn in the other side. The dining room fills with the wonderful aroma of fresh coffee and we are eager to try it. They come to each table and bring every one a small cup of coffee and a tub of popcorn to share. We ordered sambusas for appetizers and lamb, chicken and veggie platters as entrees. All were superb. Will definitely be back!
One of my favorite restaurants in Charlotte! The food is made fresh and perfectly spiced every time. The staff is friendly and accomodating. Their lentil sambusas are a must!
