Best WLM Reviews

Missouri is known for authentic Bar-B-Que and this place is why. As soon as we arrived the staff were extremely friendly and took us to our table immediately. Our waiter showed up in a flash with some awesome suggestion which we tried seeing how this was our first meal in Kansas City. Our means arrived faster then an restaurant we've been to.
Girlfriend who's a vegetarian went for the blackened Salmon with mixed vegies and slaw. They cooked the Salmon to perfection and put just the right amount of Bar-B-Que sauce. It was totally amazing. I had the combo with Bar-B-Que Chicken and Pork Ribs that were honestly to die for. They even gave me a little jigger of extra sauce on the side. One of my sides were these outstanding Baked Beans and the other was a so, so delicious Mac-N-Cheese.
On our second visit and yes that's right we returned but this time I switched up the meal for Smoked Sausage and Brisket that was truly out of this world. Of coarse I had to stick with the amazing Mac-N-Cheese and Baked Beans. Girlfriend stuck with the awesome Salmon but this time she went with the same sides but this time she added the Mexican Corn that was out of this world.
Do yourselves a huge favor and go there a.s.a.p. You'll be glad you did,
Probably the best brisket I've ever had - extremely tasty and not all dried out. The brisket burnt ends were out of this world. The sides were also very good! The place itself is "fancy" by BBQ standards with food coming on highest to God plates. Great atmosphere, the service was good, and the food came out lightning fast. If I'm ever back in KC I'll be stopping here again!
Best bbq I've ever had, hands down! This place is very busy so be sure to make a reservation well ahead of time. The service was amazing, our waiter brought us every sauce to try and they were all great. Food was all cooked perfectly. We came both days we were here for dinner, it's that good! Must stop spot in Kansas City. Their burnt end burger is the best burger I've had, I order it automatically each time.
My son and I took a boys trip with the goal of visiting Chiefs Kingdom, Working out & eating BBQ. We finally got to this one on the last day and only knew of it because of a friendly royals fan who mentioned it at the hotel we stayed at.
When we arrived we were immediately seated as walk-ins. We ordered the pick 3 with mac cheese and a side of pork belly. Within 10 minutes they brought it out hot.
My son and I tried each price together and talked about our previous experience with BBQ. The pork belly was my absolute fave. Rian likes the brisket and the mac. The chicken was tender and the total cost of $45 was totally worth it for all we got.
On this trip, Q39 was the highest scoring BBQ place for two Arizonans that only have Lil Miss (fantastic) to compare it to. congrats Q39 on your amazing food!
Came here for a group dinner. I booked a reservation online which was great. The restaurant was bustling, and so the servers were pulled in a lot of directions but they were very good/efficient.
-The wings were awesome. Typically I like to stick with Buffalo style but these sweet and smokey barbecue wings were excellent.
-I got the brisket plate with burnt ends. Off the charts good. Moist, flavorful, excellent BBQ sauce.
-For sides I got slaw and Mac and cheese. The Mac and cheese is not overly dense/cheesey. I enjoyed it, but some folks may prefer a different style.
-I sampled some chicken and ribs from my friends. Everything was tremendous. I'd have a hard time not getting the brisket, but it's good to know the other options are great.
Bottom line, this place is the real deal. On par with great KC spots like Jack Stack, Arthur Bryant's, etc. Hope to come back soon!
We arrived at opening on a Sunday and so glad we had a reservation because there was a line waiting for the place to open. We were seated immediately and our server was Preston. He was absolutely the best server I've encountered outside of a Michelin star restaurant.
As a native Texan I'm a little harder to please when it comes to BBQ. I admit I like the brisket and though I'm not used to a sauce like this one I did enjoy it. The Mac n cheese was top notch, don't skip it. Excellent potato salad. The star of this meal was the pork belly. Absolutely melt in your mouth and had a great char. Ribs were also fall off the bone tender and had a great dry rub on them.
My partner liked the beer selection while I had a smoky old fashioned. Something must've been off behind the bar because it was served with crushed ice and wasn't smoky at all. The food was so excellent I didn't really care that the cocktail was a miss that day. I'm still going to come here everytime I'm in KC. Especially to give them another chance to get the cocktail right.
Highly rated BBQ place! We had the burnt brisket for appetizer. I got the wings, corn and apple slaw. It was all delicious! Our worker bee was very timely and helpful.
We're just visiting Kansas City and started this morning with one of the premier BBQ joints in the city and it was absolutely amazing. Then we come here for dinner and it somehow blew that place out of the water in every single way. The food here is phenomenal and our server, Chad, was fun and funny and great. Seriously, can't recommend this place enough, some of the best BBQ I've ever had.
