The line was busy but that's expected for most Porto's. The food came out relatively quickly. The High quality ingredients and well made. The guava lemonade was refreshing with unique guava flavor. I tried the coconut strudel for the first time and it was crisp and delicious.
Porto's Bakery is absolutely amazing! Every visit here feels like a mini celebration with the vibrant atmosphere and the delicious Cuban-inspired flavors. The bakery section is incredible - be sure to try the cheese rolls and potato balls, which are always fresh and absolutely mouthwatering.
One of the standout dishes on the menu is the Ropa Vieja Plato. This Cuban classic is prepared to perfection, with tender, shredded pork simmered in a flavorful sauce with bell peppers and onions. It's served with black beans, white rice, and sweet plantains, making for a perfectly balanced and satisfying meal.
The staff is always friendly, the service is quick, and the food quality is consistently excellent. Porto's is truly a must-visit in LA for anyone looking for a taste of authentic Cuban flavors. Highly recommend!
Long line but moves very fast. Got in in about 5 minutes. Friendly workers take your order at the bakery displays, wait for them to box your pastries, then pay at the cashier to get a buzzer for eating in. Huge crowds but workers help you get a table quickly, and it's not too loud - we could hear each other talk.
Food was good. Turkey gravy potato ball (seasonal) was yummy. Chicken millenesa sandwich (recommended by the guy who took our order) was really good. Breakfast wrap with chorizo instead of pork was a bit too salty.
Delivery came through, but man, that roast pork sandwich? Nah. First bite...rubbery, dry, and straight-up tough. Thought maybe the center would save it, but nope, same struggle. Even got a piece stuck in my throat...had to grab water ASAP just to survive. Rest of the order was solid, but that pork needs some serious TLC. Fix that pls, Porto’s.
A place that lives up to the hype. One of the best sandwiches I've had anywhere. Going to make a stop here everytime I'm in LA. There's a wide menu of lunch and dessert/pastries. A tonne of seating, and it's staffed well to handle the crowds. Tiramisu was amazing
First time trying Porto's Bakery. You know it's a great spot when you see 4 big lines on a Thursday morning. It was super busy, but very quick to order and well organized. Staff works very hard to maintain the crowd and do a great job!
- Ordered 2 regular cup of coffee, very good decision. 10/10
- Ordered 6 of the Cheese & Spicy Potato Balls. 8/10 wish the cheese was string cheese not a liquid cheese but still great ????
- Ordered 2 Chicken Empanadas 8/10 very good. Love the soft and crispy outer layer.
Great prices as well only paid about $19-$20.
1 hour parking in the back, can also park on the street.
Highly recommend this spot to anyone outside of the LA area.
We visited Porto’s Bakery and Cafe on our vacation in LA. Long lines at 8 am in the morning for breakfast but friendly staff to help decide what you should try. We took Egg and Cheese sandwiches, Guacamole and Cheese sandwich. Loved every bite of our food. I will be back soon whenever I am in town. Thank you!
Had the best experience visiting this location for the first time. Milly our sever was the highlight of this place. She was going above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and taken care of. Can’t wait to be back .
