Best WLM Reviews

This was without a doubt the best Mexican food I've had in a long time. The food was fresh and perfectly seasoned. The beans were not out of a can, the flavor and seasoning were like when I lived in Manzanillo, Mexico. The Tamale's were moist and firm with just a bit of sweetness from the corn. The filling was perfect, unlike a lot of times I've had that are dry or tough. Salsa and chips were fresh and homemade. My only complaint was I was charged for a dish we talked about when ordering but didn't order. I should have checked before paying, everything else was so good I didn't care. It's Portland so parking is not great. We will come back.
The service was quick despite the busy atmosphere. The food was reasonably priced, and while the margaritas were average and poured from a premade batch, the homemade chips were a delicious . The shrimp salad was enjoyable, and I appreciated that the shrimp tails had been removed.
This is a must go to if u are in the area, the tamales and por que bowl were the highlights of the dinner. The only thing is that the tacos could have more flavor. Not the best tacos, the drinks could also use more alcohol. Salsa was amazing. Paid $120 for 4 people
Service was great, staff was friendly and helpful. Salsa fresca and chips were delicious, guac was okay (probably would just stick to salsa next time). Horchata was very cinnamon-y. Pinto beans were surprisingly delicious. Self-serve salsa bar was fun. Tomatillo salsa was excellent, the habanero was pretty good, chile de arbol wasn’t great, and the serrano was nothing but heat. THE TACOS WERE AMAZING. Half a star down for only one tortilla but it mostly held up okay. We got al pastor, carnitas, barbacoa, and pollo verde and they were all amazing. Tried to pick a favorite but they were all so good! Will come again.
The best overall taqueria in Portland! Quality! Chips amazing! Salsa and guacamole amazing! But the beans are out of this world, very plain but velvety! Arbol sauce is 10/10
We came in late but food and service was excellent! I got the ceviche plate and carnita taco and my bf got some sort of combination plate with steak, rice, and beans with tortillas on the side!! Blackberry margarita was well made!
This is the best place to get tacos! They have a great variety of different tacos and everything is so fresh. They house make so many components, with the tortillas being especially note-worthy. I recommend chips with guacamole and salsa as an appetizer. The mushroom and potatoes taco, pollo verde and barbacoa tacos are probably my favorite.
Staff are super friendly!
The line can get pretty long, and expend outside past the length of the building. Bring some rain gear. When you get inside, someone may come up to you asking if you would like a drink so they can begin making it for you. The drinks are pretty tasty!
There is quite a bit of seating inside, outside and another outside area that is very nice and heated.
Love the quality of ingredients and flavor of most everything. First time having their ceviche, it was too salty but tasted fresh. Had 5 different kinds of tacos and they were all perfect.
