Stopping for a late-night dinner at Por Que No? was a delightful experience. The staff and atmosphere were welcoming and friendly. The michelada was refreshing and paired perfectly with the flavorful tacos that were absolutely delicious.
Great vibe, great tacos! Small main area, but several larger outdoor areas. Service is quick, fun salsa fridge and delicious aqua fresca.
My goodness. You think you’ve tried good Mexican food until you come here. Omg. I don’t know what they do with their beans that makes them taste like god himself baked them last night. I honestly want the recipe for everything they sell here. A little steep on the price but with much reason in my opinion. $15-$20 per adult plate but do consider getting the rice and beans with cheese kids meal, with Oaxaca cheese, I promise you won’t regret it.
This gem is tucked away at the end of the Mississippi corridor but very much worth the extra steps to get there. Quaint with ample seating inside and out. Friendly and fast service, there is a separate lime for repeat orders. Get the flautas ???? and a margarita with chips. Other classics are great as well like carnitas and quesadillas
Loved loved this place! The service, food and atmosphere was on point. Went here for Sunday brunch. Had to wait in line for about 15 mins. Not too bad and was totally worth the wait. Small place but felt intimate. Definitely recommend and will go here again.
First time here and it was delicious! The 2 front counter people were incredibly friendly. Also, the hongos y papas taco that was recommended to me was my favorite item! Queso asado taco was too salty for me, but still edible.
I also got a bloody Maria to go and the staff went above and beyond to provide all the garnishes so I could easily recreate my drink at home.
Will be back with a date!
I was waiting for a friend close by and saw several people leave with sacks of food so, yesterday i stopped in. Busy, cramped interior with a genuine Mexican flavor. I had a great short margarita, and chorizos (a Mexican sausage) tacos - both makes me want to return. Parking can be a challenge along Mississippi, but worth it.
I hadn’t been to Por Que No in several years because we moved across town. Thankfully I was able to fix this mistake!
The food, atmosphere, and staff were all just as good as I remember it and why it was my favorite.
I ordered several tacos and a beer and my friend did the same. They were all excellent! Staff was super friendly and helpful.
Great eats. There’s a reason this place has such a great reputation.
