If you wish to stay in the downtown area and want something economical this hotel definitely would suffice. Although the roll in shower was leaking the whole time we were there, the greater inconvenience was the train yard behind the hotel which allowed us almost zero sleep the 5 nights we were there. I will say that the room had been definitely wheelchair accessible as required, the pool was enjoyable and the staff were very kind.
The only positive aspect of this hotel is its location. Unfortunately, everything else fell short of expectations. The staff were not welcoming or friendly, which is disappointing since they represent the hotel. They didn’t even greet guests with a simple 'good morning' or 'hello,' which is the least you would expect.
The room itself wasn’t very clean, and it was clear that more attention to cleanliness is needed before new guests arrive.
We also encountered a serious issue with the bathroom. The water wouldn’t drain from the tub, and after being out for the day, we returned to a room that had an unpleasant odor because of it. When we brought this to the staff's attention, they told us an engineer would come to check it and that we couldn’t go back into the room. When we expressed our frustration and showed photos of the problem, the receptionist reluctantly spoke to the manager and eventually offered us a new room, but her attitude remained unkind throughout the process.
It’s a real shame, because with better service and attention to detail, the hotel could be much better. As it stands, I wouldn’t recommend staying here.
Plaza Hotel & Casino is a fantastic choice for a stay in downtown Vegas. The location is unbeatable, right near Fremont Street, so you're close to all the action without feeling too crowded. The rooms are comfortable and modern, with nice views of the city lights. The staff is friendly and helpful, though a few updates here and there could make it even better. Overall, a great value for the price and a fun Vegas experience.
Positive: The location at the beginning of Fremont St is perfect! The price was good (except for all of the resort fees). Room was clean, shower water pressure was excellent. Negative: I?m a fan of room service for breakfast, which is not available at the Plaza.
Was the first time staying here and was impressed. The price was good. The room was clean. The bathroom is small. No fridge. But for the price. The location and casino are a bit more quiet and the food at the few places is solid. Would stay here again.
Nice sized room, with a comfortable bed and a good shower. Also had a nice lounging chair in the room, but only one for a two person room
The casino floor is nice and clean, Carousel Bar outside was fantastic, we ate at Hash House A Go Go for breakfast which is nice and fantastic location from our rooms.
The pool was small, but quiet so was relaxing. Some of the loungers are undercover so you can avoid being in the sun all day. Despite its appearance and size, it was the best pool in Vegas I've visited because of this
Overall, if staying near Fremont Street again, we would definitely stay here for the amenities, comfortable rooms and location
ZERO stars! Please read before booking a room here. Your money is better spent at a motel 6 and I can guarantee the rooms will be cleaner. There are clumps of hair on the carpet, hair all over the tiny bathroom, toe nails on the floor, scum on the sinks and holes in the sheets. This hotel room would not pass a health inspection. I am beyond grossed out and will never stay here again. The rooms facing Fremont are constant bass and loud music all day and night, and the deposit and BS resort fees added over $250 to our bill and had to be paid at check-in. With the state of this room, they should be paying me.
No frills accommodation. I had a room with twin queen-size beds and basic en suite bathroom. I made sure I booked a room that came equipped with an iron since I was there for work reasons. I also took a room in the South Tower which is apparently quieter than the North.
Hotel reception staff were very helpful when needed.
Location-wise, a fair distance from the main strip, and cost approximately $30 to get to the Convention Center West Hall for work each way.
One decent-looking sit-down restaurant that I didn't get to try on this trip, and a scattering of less formal eateries scattered near reception and throughout the casino.
