There is an incredible amount of things to do here. The options between food markets, bakeries, restaurants, and bars is incredible.
That, in combination with the additional shops for various items like records, shirts, spices, and gifts makes it a must go for anyone.
I recommend taking a couple hours to really explore. Come hungry and enjoy food everywhere. It's a true paradise to try so many different things.
Pike Place Market: A Seattle Icon. Home to everything from coffee to Cutters, this must-visit destination offers an incredible variety of products. You'll find everything from dried fruits to fresh fruits, and even freshly squeezed juices. The market boasts an impressive selection of fresh fish and over a hundred vendors selling crafts, food, and homemade goods. It's a remarkable spot that you can't miss. Enjoying bread from Three Girls Bakery and smoked salmon from the market made for an amazing outdoor lunch.
It’s a tourist trap! However I go there almost every weekend just to get some fresh fish, espresso and crepes. (Not in that order) ????
I enjoy the vibe and love helping locals. Tons of great shops and food! Highly recommend it!
Check out the Gum Wall, watch a performance, visit the first Starbucks and shop for sone cool stuff!
The parking garage closer to the water is your cheapest option to park and probably safest.
I LOVE this market. It is so full of life and loud and colorful. So many flavors, smells and sights. An absolute must every time you go to Seattle. Cheap flowers, amazing food. Go very hungry and buy a little something from multiple places. That's what I done did.
Super cool I have to admit. You can buy fish and walk five feet and buy art. It's wild. But so many people it was har to move. It was a neat experience and I would definitely recommend checking it out. The gum wall is one of the grossest things I've ever seen.
Absolutely! Here's a Google review for Pike Place Market:
Pike Place Market is a feast for the senses! Fresh seafood, colorful flowers, and delicious food stalls fill the air with amazing sights and smells. Don't miss the famous fish tossing show! It's a fun and lively place to spend a few hours, soaking up the atmosphere and grabbing a bite to eat.
Many wares available. Lots of character and history, nice labyrinthine layout. Fun place for a walk or gift shopping, plenty of restaurants. It's basically my go to spot when I feel like going downtown. I like the lookout at the North end especially. The views are always great
A truly well-managed public market, open only to food vendors with no other first location and merchants with unique crafts, with leases renewed based upon ratings and peer/neighbor reviews.
An exemplar of place and placemaking, walkable like Quincy Market in Boston but larger, with more visitors, non-tourist destinations, and reasons to visit.
