This place is a desert oasis. Our family stopped here with our two dogs. We asked permission if we could have our dogs with us at the park out back and they said as long as we cleaned up after them. We were able to enjoy the pond, turtles, shade, and dinosaur statues. We were able to order pizza and fries and eat them out back. It was really busy but it was also a holiday weekend. Despite how busy it was, our food was still timely and delicious.
The restaurant has four sections really, the pizza parlor, the diner, the ice cream parlor, and the gift shop. All with their own counter.
Overall it was a fun, relaxing stop for us.
Dined in May 30 2024, a bit pass 12:00 in the afternoon. Crowd was going in and out and we were accommodated right away.. took us a few minutes to decide what to order due to the menu is quite too busy to easily absorb.
Ordered the food, the staff was very accommodating, and they served it at a reasonable time.. freshly made and the ambiance was real not fabricated, you feel that you are eating at a 50’s diner.. only notable difference is the credit card can use now
Whether you are heading to or from Las Vegas its worth dropping by to eat. Location is just right near near the exit
Finally made the stop! We loved it! Cold AC inside and amazing 50's memorabilia. They really did a great job. What a trip down nostalgia lane. Watching my mom relive her youth and hearing the stories was priceless. Thanks Peggy Sue!
Loved this place. Not just good food, a fun atmosphere and great service, it's also a Harvest Host.
I saw the train across the street and when I was at that specific train depot in the late 1980s, unloading from those trains I never noticed Peggy Sue's, but I would not have been allowed to go to Peggy Sue's even if i had noticed. Great place to stop, eat, and relax.
The gift shop is great, unique items..... the items in each room and pictures hanging on the wall are very fitting for the atmosphere. It was about 3:30 in the afternoon, so service was not top-notch due to them being a little busy. I expect more of a 50s dinner vibe, but the story behind it is the building was built in the 50's purchased in 86 to be Peggy Sue's.
Don't let the fact that it's not as 50's as I thought it was gonna be stop you from visiting because it is absolutely something you should see in person at least once. The uniforms that some of the girls wear are definitely 50s, though
We wanted to try something different from the normal restaurants visited. We had heared good things from people we knew over the past few months. It was a nice drive ???? out . Well worth the trip.
This place is a wonderland! I can’t believe I had never stopped here before on my way to Vegas! But it will now be the only place I stop. You feel like you are literally transported back to the 1950’s! The service was AMAZING, the food was AMAZING. This is the coolest place on the way to Vegas!
Restaurant located along fwy 15. It has 4 different sections, including counters for Puzza and ice cream. Good parking space and enough tables to accommodate hungry travelers. Lost in the 50s, it says in their memorabilia's wall. Their prices range from $13 to $20. I was not impressed with the food, though--probably if I had ordered something from the 50s ? Travelers could easily spend a few hrs in this stop, eating, having ice cream, sitting by the pond, or buying souvenirs .
