First time going to Pappadeaux and 100% worth the hype! SO GOOD! Loved the Louisiana/French decor and vibe. Food was beyond expectations. I We got Oysters and French dip for appetizers, both amazing. Then for main I got the Mississippi Catfish and shrimp etouffee, fish cooked to perfection. Bathrooms were super clean. Very kids friendly and accesible. Definitely one of my favorite restaurants now.
Excellent meal. Arrived at 5 on a Monday night and there was no waiting. Food was amazing. Service was crazy good. Our waitress could read our thoughts and we wanted for nothing.
Seafood lovers paradise! The fried shrimp, and baked oysters are amazing. In addition, the sirloin steak was a juicy delight.Lastly, the loaded baked potato was the size of a foam football. Two whole pieces of bacon were inside the loaded baked potato;it was delicious. The atmosphere of Pappadeaux reminiscent of N. Orleans French quarter. My server was informative, and friendly. Don't forget dessert;the turtle pie is life changing!
Service was great!! The food, not so much. Catfish has ZERO flavor. When I asked the server about it, she said it’s a pre-mixed batter. It didn’t even taste like it had salt and pepper. I sent it back for some fried shrimp. They didn’t properly de-vain it so it was pretty much a waste. My friend had salmon which was on point!! Don’t think I will return to this location.
We went for happy hour. Had the calamari and roasted oysters. Both were tasty dishes. The oysters could have stayed under the broiler a little longer but still good! At $11.95 for 3 oysters, not what I would consider happy hour prices. The Pappadocious drink is worth the price! We will go back and try some items on the dinner menue!
Always have a good experience at the Pappadeaux food chains. No too busy on Saturday around 3:30 pm. The entree was a bit smaller than what I remember. They normal cover with gumbo or etouffee on top. Price wise is a big steep for a 10 oz grilled fish with veggies. A bowl of gumbo is $19.95. Again pretty steep but it was good! The ambiance was really nice. Servers are wonderful.
Wyatt was the server and he really added to the whole experience. Great service can truly make or break a date night and he really brought it to the night. We started with roasted oysters and my partner who hates oysters loved them. We then had the salmon Alexander to share and the crawfish were so good! We were then told they were alive just this morning! So knowing they have such fresh food also really helped. Already looking forward to trying their Austin location!
Food is absolutely amazing. Great place for seafood or cajun cuisine. Definitely a bit expensive but that’s expected with seafood. Our server, David, was so helpful and kind. I would definitely come here again.
