You require about good 2-3 hours for the visit. The entry ticket is $15 and we went on a winter weekend so it was not crowded at all. There are great species and they have polar bear (which I saw for the very first time, so I got all excited), lion, arctic fox, giraffe.
They DO NOT have big cats (but might get once the Asia area is built)
It is an easy access, there are total 3 areas: North America, Asia (some part is still under construction) and Africa and are connected via tram access, so you need not worry about walking a lot.
Food: there are 1-2 restaurants at each of the areas and multiple snacking spots as well as water fountains.
Tip: Carry a map to understand where you are and also to not miss out on animals.
Such a nice zoo!
Be ready to walk a lot. It's like a great adventure among the forest and the jungle.
We spent almost 4 hours on all the exhibits and animals. So, I definitely recommend thinking about time in advance.
A lot of space for animals.
Of course, some animals sleep, when we are coming. But it's okay.
Inside plenty of restrooms, water stations, food restaurants.
15 $ for adult - it's absolutely affordable.
We were on Sunday and did not buy tickets in advance. It was easy to buy tickets on the spot.
My honest recommendation for everyone!
This zoo is amazing!!! We had a wonderful day at the zoo! It was beautiful weather and on a Thursday so it was not too busy. Love the natural habits and the tree line trails that were shaded and lined with such a variety of plants. There is a tree obstacle course that looked really nice and was $3. There is also a hands on area for kids that looked really nice and it was quite large.
As other reviews state the food is expensive and what we saw didnt look that good, Bring your own and there are many places to sit to have a picnic or quick bite in the park.
experience! I spent most of my visit exploring the Africa side, which was incredible. It was such a thrill to see animals like giraffes, ostriches, baboons, rhinos, and elephants up close. The exhibits are so well-designed and make you feel like you’re really stepping into their natural environment.
The highlight for me was seeing the lion — truly the King of the Animal Kingdom! The zoo is huge, well-maintained, and perfect for a fun and educational day out. The staff was super friendly, and everything was easy to navigate. I can’t wait to come back and explore even more. Highly recommend visiting!
There's so much to see, hear, and learn at this zoo! Today we got to see the sand cats get fed, hear the chimps and learn all about the black bears, Nova and Luna. Definitely wear comfortable shoes and dress appropriately for the weather. One tip: pack your own snacks. The food options can get pricey, and not everything is worth the cost. Otherwise, it’s always a fun time whenever we come, and we always make plenty of memories!
Nice property but I thought there could be more animals. Giraffes/Zebras were our favorite. Elephants were very majestic. Food expensive. The shuttle was very handy for getting back to the side of the zoo where our car was parked. Everyone we dealt with there was very nice. We will go back.
What a great trip today. Spent the day here with my granddaughter and husband. We walked over 4 miles and rode the trolley back. It takes several hours to visit each location. Worth it and had lunch in the park. Can't wait to come back when the new construction is complete.
Maybe we visited at the wrong time of year, but we should’ve been informed at the gate that almost everything was shut as it was “out of season”. Entrance was cheap but we basically paid for a nice walk with the occasional view of animals. Did not live up to the hype one bit.
