Best WLM Reviews

We walked through this hotel (entering through chocolate world) into their casino to get to the roller coaster that my husband was looking forward to riding. He rode it TWICE, and loved it. Obviously not for the faint-of-heat, I sat it out; listening to those exiting the ride exclaiming how they too remarked how "great" it was. We like to try different venues and should we return to Vegas this would be a hotel we considered for such a visit. It is truly quite a wonder...truly wonderful amenities; a wonderful location indeed--saith this former born and bred New Yorker.
Excellent hotel and great location. Rooms are super spacious we got one with a giant jacuzzi and an amazing view. Staff are super friendly and casino was on ground floor perfect and very easy to reach other places on the strip. The roller coaster on the roof was great fun and very original.
First time ever staying at NYNY, but have always enjoyed the casino. Good reasonable food options, fun bars at night, really like the vibe. ||Thought we'd give it a hotel stay this trip since the rooms have just been renovated. Rooms were very clean and newer and in general we liked them. And despite what other recent review said, the room did come with a fridge. ||That said the renovation seemed to cheap out in the bathroom. Keeping the same old sink and tub fixtures I'm sure was a huge cost savings but made it seem like they were just putting lipstick on a pig. And that's really how the whole renovation feels - a little cheap, but good enough to be clean and new appearing and it'll last for a good 10 years. ||Pros: New room furnishings, comfortable bed, fridge, great hot water and shower pressure, great location next to Park, good restaurants/bars||Cons: Renovation didn't touch much of the bathrooms, smell seemed not so fresh for a renovated room, pool area is not great for an adult looking to relax. It's smaller and you have a roller coaster screaming over your head.||For those that don't know, when you stay at an MGM property you can use any of their pools. We walked over to Park MGM and used their complex instead. More choices and a nicer spot. ||As far as staff, had wonderful interactions with the Front Desk on multiple occasions. Super helpful. Also had one miserable interaction with a MGM Rewards staff at NYNY. I won't hold her unprofessionalism against the entire complex,
It's our go-to when sticking to a budget. I love these themed resorts. They put a lot of detail into making this property feel like New York City. The rooms are vibrant and fairly up-to-date for an older resort. Nothing luxurious, but you get what you pay for.
The atmosphere is electric! My only gripe which is not a gripe, is the smoky casino area. It's not a gripe because I am aware that you can smoke inside the facility. But, I am not a smoker and each time I entered the building, my eyes started burning instantly!
Otherwise, everything was great and convenient!
The good - great location, fun stores and really fun arcade. Our kids (under 12) really loved it. Lots of good quality restaurants in the Hotel. We ate in the hotel for most of our meals. Lots of photo ops through out. Easy to get to other hotels and shopping. No complaints there.
The bad - rooms really need a good cleaning. The carpet was a little dirty like it needed a good clean. We found a used condom beside the bed. Front desk acted like it was not a big deal, but we were a family of four with two kids under 12.
If the front desk would've handled our complaints and actually cleaned the room, I'd give them at least a four star, if not five. Both those two things are HUGE RED FLAGS.
Adequate but not on my top 10. If you prefer a more discerning, polished experience, then this hotel is not for you.
The rooms shake from the roller coaster thundering just outside the window... LITERALLY that close...until 11pm...EVERY NIGHT. if you need to get a good night sleep for business the next day, bring ear plugs or stay at another hotel.
The professional service people were terrific. They did their best to find me a quiet room but there’s very little you can do when the entire hotel is covered to end by a roaring roller coaster.
if you’re here with teenage kids, or your young people, looking to have a fun spring break, then this might be the right hotel for you .
But if you’re here on business, or are seeking a relaxing, refined experience , stay elsewhere.
I was loyal to the MGM brand for 25 yrs.. last 10 yrs specifically new york new york.. then i had items stolen from my room.. the hotel didn't care.. i even wrote head office n they didn't even take the time to acknowledge I even wrote them... nevermind responding to my concerns. Why would I be loyal to the brand when they just don't care and have thieving staff? Time to move down the strip.
