I couldn't resist stopping by the iconic Nathan's Famous. The service was excellent, and the atmosphere had a cool, nostalgic vibe. The hot dogs were spot-on, with a satisfying bite and a crisp finish from the casing. The onion rings were fresh, perfectly golden, and light. I'm not usually big on milkshakes, but when I indulge, theirs is a must—sweet, thick, and absolutely delicious (no pun intended—thanks, Kelis!). The corn dogs and buffalo fries were also fantastic.
The fast food restaurant is located in the Coney Island section of Brooklyn. This is the original location founded in 1916 by Nathan Handwerker. They currently have many locations in the U.S. and in other countries. Nathan's sells food products in various markets. I ordered the classic hot dog with mustard, sauerkraut and sautéed onions. It was well-prepared and enjoyable to eat. I also tried a chili dog which was something different. The french fries are the thick crinkle-cut style. The fish sandwich was the best fast food one I have tried. The price is more but you receive two generous pieces of fried fish filets that are very tasty. The spicy chicken sandwich is a new menu item that is a nice portion. The chocolate shake was very good and topped with a cherry. The restaurant appears clean and the interior updated.
This is the first time here. It was much larger than I was expecting. Was a line on a holiday. We ate there around 1 pm. Surprised to see the costs were not to high. And the selection of food was really good. We sat outdoors. Staff was ok. Some seemed like they didn't want to be there but over all ok. We had corn dogs. Burger and a new York Cheesesteak. Plus onion ring and fries. Was a lot of food for the cost.
I had a fantastic experience at this fast food café. Despite being around for many years, the interior is impressively modern. The food is delicious, and I treated myself to some clams this time—they were outstanding. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for great food in a contemporary setting.
I don’t care what negative things people have to say this place is an institution.
It’s perfect because it’s Nathan’s. You can have a bad experience here, it’s still 5 stars. You think it’s overrated? It’s still 5 stars. You don’t like hot dogs? You got overcharged? You hate fun? Still 5 stars.
Chili cheese dog once a year is what the doctor actually ordered.
Orangeade is also a move.
Good washrooms too.
This place is like everything your inner child could dream of. Oh you want liquid cheese and bacon?? The answer is yes. 5 stars.
Hot dogs are good as always but I think the price is a bit high.
Coming to Nathan’s for many years. It draws a big crowd during the summers. I try to make it annual pilgrimage on my bicycle from Long Island.
I come more for the vibes than the food. If you haven’t been, then I do recommend it. ????
me and my lady got in the train from manhattan an hour later in coney island was an amazing time .. we stopped first at nathan’s to get some of the best hot dogs and cheese fries we’ve tried .. both with saluted onions .. great place to eat and relax outside nice seating areas , the beach is right across the way along with the little amazement park and games .. beautiful place to be .. the staff are nice and efficient, the food came up quick even though there were plenty of ppl .. the smell is amazing the food is even better and definitely will be back
The hot dogs were great and tasty, but also expensive. For those 3 hot dogs i paid $23. But it is worth it, i don't come here often. It is honour to eat at this infamous store. The store was empty, so i didn't wait. Even if it was crowded, there were at least 4 clerks.
