Best WLM Reviews

Wow, did you know Connecticut has its own little city? You best wear your comfy shoes! Overall, I give it a 4/5 and would visit again! |Pros: It is filled to the brim with restaurants, shops, casino games, and more! The rooms are spacious, the bathrooms very well appointed, and everything felt very safe as there are guards who check key cards before anyone uses the elevators to the rooms. There are a lot of shows upcoming that I would have loved to see, like Pentatonix and others, but there is always something going on! You won't be bored!!!! Plus, it has Chik Fil A and Johnny Rocket which we don't have in Alaska so I loved getting my fix! |Cons: We enjoyed it very much although the slots were a bit tighter than I'm used to when I go to Vegas. I still left happy, though! My husband enjoyed the blackjack tables though most of them started at $25 a hand which makes it hard to sit there for awhile. The room service was a bit iffy and we spent the day after our arrival with our room service button lit however still had to call down for towels. |Overall, I would definitely recommend the Mohegan Sun!
The casino was pretty good. Had a good time at the Brew fest and saw a concert later. Not really a bad seat in the house even if you're high. Rooms are clean. Plenty of gaming. The service could have been better. Had to wait 45 minutes for my room to be cleaned and I did not show up early. I checked in at 4:00.
Went for an event in the arena. Very nice place. Nice restaurant selection though most need better hours. After the event only one restaurant was still open and it was very lacking. And the only quick bite options are sweets. Nothing really savory that I saw for a quick bite. Not the worst resort. Definitely not the best.
Mohegan Sun continues to be a fun experience for me and the Mrs. as it is a manageable ride from Westchester- around 100 miles each way of mostly easy driving on the Merritt or on I-95. Fall foliage was in full bloom which enhanced the ride. I commend the Mohegan Sun as they continue to improve their offerings- with new dining and shopping stores within the complex and consistency with the long-tenured places such as Tuscany, Tao and Michael Jordan's steakhouse. Ben & Jerry's is a post concert favorite. The staff is friendly and kind and the place is spotless- kudos to the housekeeping team. Security is present.... The guestrooms are always fresh, elevators are quick, parking is easy.... it really is a great formula even for those that are not big on gambling. |Of course nothing is perfect- perhaps it is time for bigger screen TV's? Not sure of the size of TV's but they seem small. The toilet flush is incredibly loud- not sure why but not a big deal.... |Mohegan Sun is managed effectively and they deserve the 5 star review!
I did not use the hotel facilities. I went to a concert. I ate at Bobby's Burgers and got dessert from Carlos Bakery. Enjoyed my food and dessert. The casino floor is organized, but they are not terribly patient with a novice gambler. The concert venue is run very well and is clean and has all you need once you enter. There are plenty of stores to check out. Overall, it was a lovely experience. My one complaint is that the sound system is only mediocre, in my opinion.
Mohegan Sun is a grand casino...large enough to get lost in, with enough attractions and resources to not mind staying lost for quite some time. Only place in/near New England to play a wide range of classic and new video Keno games, at the bar with free drinks for players, and most or all denominations available. Try Wolf Run Keno, and if you are able to get 4 or 5 moons to drop in your bonus spots, the bonus game can retrigger several times and it's a thrilling feature. TIP: if you leave the bonus spots unpicked they randomize themselves for you each draw...that could be of benefit during the bonus rounds ;)
The hotel/casino is beautiful and the restaurants were great. The pool was neat, indoor and outdoor at the same time and the rooms were clean, modern and very nice. We particularly loved the Lobby bar with the beautiful waterfall backdrop. And there was live music in several different spots which was really fun. We had a fabulous time! Can't wait to go back.
Casino was really nice, nice layout easy to learn after walking around. Went to sign up for players rewards and host wasn't very friendly, didn't welcome us as new players, give us a run down just took our IDs and carried on a conversation with other employees. Hit a couple times, lost of food and drinks. Sun patio was nice.
