Best WLM Reviews

Mi Tierra Cafe is an absolute gem in San Antonio! I’m not usually a fan of margaritas, but their prickly pear margarita was fabulous—so refreshing and delicious! The atmosphere is lively with mariachi musicians serenading guests, adding a perfect touch to the experience.
Our food arrived quickly, and I had the chicken enchiladas en mole. They were incredibly authentic and so good that I could easily eat twenty of them!
To top it all off, the dessert display was impressive, stretching the length of the building with tempting treats. If you’re in San Antonio, don’t miss Mi Tierra Cafe—it’s a must-visit for amazing food and vibrant culture!
I am visiting the San Antonio area and found this charming spot. While I found the food average the Atmosphere was off the chart which earned them the 4 star rating. The prices are slightly higher than simular restaurants in the San Antonio area but not too much. While in this area I recommend that you pay this restaurant a visit.
This restaurant is a lot, in the best way. The food was delicious. Everything was very flavorful. They leave their holiday decorations up all year which looks great, but are kinda dusty. There's so much to see and a very impressive looking bakery as well.
I enjoyed eating here, the atmosphere was very pleasant and the food was okay. It felt good contributing to an historic family business and the servers costumes were so neat. We didn’t pay for a song but now I wish we had. Our wait was 34 to sit down just like the lady said. It was a little confusing knowing where to go to get a table, and I felt the 18% gratuity was kinda high for a table of 6 adults but I’m willing to overlook it for the sake if everything else.
During my visit to San Antonio, I had the pleasure of dining at Mi Tierra Cafe twice—once for dinner on Thursday evening and again for breakfast on Friday morning. Both experiences were absolutely delightful and showcased the restaurant’s authentic flavors and vibrant atmosphere.
Dinner:
The evening ambiance was lively, filled with the energy of a bustling yet cozy Mexican eatery. The service was prompt and friendly, and the food was exceptional. I order the Deluxe entree which was recommended as a popular item. It was a hearty, satisfying meal that truly hit the spot.
Breakfast:
The next morning, I returned for breakfast and was equally impressed. I ordered the chilaquiles, which were deliciously prepared with the perfect balance of textures and flavors. The tangy salsa, crisp tortilla chips, and the addition of toppings made it a standout breakfast dish. The chorizo taco I ordered was packed with bold, savory flavors, and the fresh tortillas elevated the entire experience. It was clear that the same attention to quality was carried through their breakfast menu.
Final Thoughts:
Mi Tierra Cafe is a gem in San Antonio, delivering on both food and experience. Whether you’re looking for a hearty dinner or a flavorful breakfast, this spot is a must-visit. The colorful decor, friendly staff, and authentic dishes make it a place I would happily return to on my next visit to the city.
Such a wonderful place. Sweets were delicious. This bakery/restaurant is unique. Very traditional. Very colorful. Decorations are amazing.
Sooooo much fun! My favorite Mexican restaurant… because of decor! Of course, food was great. But the people and decor were top notch fun! Awesome bakery too. Don’t often get that in a restaurant. Got to meet one of the owners and truly loved visiting with him and hearing about the origin of the restaurant as his Father moved there from Mexico. Now still run by the family with lots of other restaurants that they own too. Enjoyed seeing their Day of the Dead remembrances and hearing a few stories about the people in the pictures. Definitely worth the visit!
We were here in the week leading up to El Dia de Los Muertos. We were given the recommendation to try Mi Tierra by some locals we'd met at a concert the night before. It was a fabulous suggestion. The atmosphere was magical, the service was warm and knowledgeable, and the food was simply outstanding!
I cannot, for the life of me, figure out what kind of magic they are working in that kitchen; but I have never in my 48 years ever had a plain cheese quesadilla like this before. The tortillas are fresh, handmade, and simply perfection. I don't know where they get their cheese, but it was a game-changer. Heavenly. Just... perfection. We ordered a number of dishes on our wonderful waitress, Roxanne's suggestion; and not once did she steer us wrong. Did I mention the fresh tortillas? So, so SO good! The shrimp cocktail was refreshing and delicious and about the size of my husband's head. The tamales! OMG the tamales!
Honestly, I don't know why you're still reading this review. If you're in San Antonio, and you're not on your way to Mi Tierra, you're just making a horrible miscalculation with your day.
Go. They're phenomenal. Period.
And look for Roxanne! She's a doll, and she'll take good care of you!
