Loved this hotel! The rooms are clean and nice, the pool area is perfect, lazy river, wave pool, adult only pool, beach, and cute little beach food area. Location is great in terms of the strip not being as busy in that area, and the monorail that links you basically to Mandalay Bay, Luxor, and Excalibur. The casino is very nice and spacious. You don't feel as cramped even when it's busy. The food in the hotel is over the top expensive but maybe not for the foodies out there.
The hotel is great and made us very welcoming…. However the pool has weird terms specially for in house guest also has to pay n enter… beach club and the higher level one… the other pools r almost all together… however the sauna section of pool was good as it had warm water however it was too small…
Mandalay Bay is the worst hotel to stay at. They have no customer service skills. We checked in and the hotel front desk agent did not tell us anything about the property or where the elevators are located. He told us the room number and that’s it. The manager barely spoke good English to help him with finding my reservation. The hotel cleans your room every other night. The night our room should have been serviced they told us “due to room tuner-overs for new guest arrival they cancel room service for current hotel guest. Mind you we already been here for 3 nights with no service. There is nothing in the hotel policy saying that they will do that. We pay all these fees for the “resort” and they have the ability to cancel cleaning our rooms. The room attendant went in and removed our sheets and left the new ones for us to make up the bed. This hotel is horrible. I do not recommend staying here. They hotel operators are RUDE. They put you on long holds when you ask to speak to a manager. The phone disconnects out of nowhere. They charge $15 for plastic silverware. They are so disrespectful and the room was filthy. We cleaned it down with Clorox wipes and the place doesn’t seem to have inspections like normal properties. Upper management should be ashamed! We are local and this place isn’t welcoming at all! Don’t say I didn’t warn you!
Room is nice; great view and plenty of space. It’s the little details that ruin things though, like older outlets that don’t snugly hold your charging cable, a phone on the nightstand that simply doesn’t work, web-based room service ordering that is apparently broken, and the beyond idiotic motion-activated incidental tray and mini fridge.
We were in town for one night only. Have stopped in Vegas before and honestly had a better experience at the Motel 6. I’d look elsewhere if you’re planning a Vegas trip. Better yet, just avoid the strip altogether.
It was a nice hotel. There are some hospitality skills needed amongst a few bad encounters. Overall it was a good experience EXCEPT for the minibar.
Water is an essential component of life. $25 dollars for a bottle of water in the minibar….wow well that’s the best bargain in town. Maybe you can drop oxygen masks from the ceiling too and charge for a breath of air. Oh 25 bucks for a bottle of room temp water. So much for any left over food from one of the nice restaurants you visit. 50 bucks to use the minifridge.
End or beginning of the strip so a bit away from the busy part of the strip. Very nice king room. Nice bathroom with a wash closet. Tub and separate shower. Hotel has everything you need and don't need to leave. Every cuisine, different bars and entertainment built in. Plenty of games to try your luck. Very quick check in via app and allowed for virtual key via app.
We stayed at the Mandalay Bay while on our latest trip. We stayed in a King Strip View room. The room was very nice, spacious, and had a nice bathroom with full tub and separate stand up shower. Our room was very hot, despite them temp being low and the maintenance guys coming to look at it. Mini bar set up and in room amenities were very, very expensive. We had an issue with our coffee maker but the front desk staff corrected the issue promptly. We got married on our trip and room staff brought us complementary champaign for my stylist and I while she got me ready which was a fabulous surprise.
Nice, clean rooms. Very nice staff. Pay the extra for strip view if that matters, otherwise you'll have a great view of the airport. Location isn't great at the end of the strip but there is a free tram to excalibur nearby. No major complaints.
