Macy’s in New York during the holiday season is nothing short of magical! The Christmas decorations are absolutely stunning, with twinkling lights, festive displays, and an enchanting atmosphere that truly captures the holiday spirit. It’s like stepping into a winter wonderland right in the middle of the city.
I stopped by to pick up a pair of gloves, and the entire experience was flawless. The staff were friendly and efficient, and the gloves were exactly what I was looking for—both stylish and warm. I also used the gift-wrapping service, and it was a delight! They wrapped the gloves beautifully, and the service was quick and professional.
Macy’s has always been a holiday favorite for me, and this visit just reinforced why it’s such an iconic destination. Highly recommended for both shopping and soaking in the festive vibes!
This was one of the biggest Macy’s store I’ve been to and surprisingly it is the biggest store in the usa. Their interior Christmas decorations were amazing and mesmerizing. They had fun activities outside that attracted many bystanders. You can find all the popular brands here. I saw many brands that I buy here at a lower cost under sale and unlike online you tend to try out and see. Good place to shop
Ahh in love!! I’m from London so shopping is all around however Macy’s itself is just gorgeous. There’s food, cosmetics, clothes, honestly the list goes on. I brought some gorgeous boots for 50 dollars so about £48 at the time and they are such good quality. I’ve told some of my best girlfriends we shall return together just for the Macy’s trip. Wouldn’t recommend going with someone who doesn’t appreciate a good shopping trip.
Absolutely huge departmental store - probably largest in NYC and spanning over 8 whopping floors with probably 100s of brands. They are mainly luxury and branded goods which covers the bulk of the first few floors - hardly any on offer unless you are really lucky. As you proceed upwards, there are more areas with discounts (can be up to 70% off).
Worth a visit for the experience and hype or just some good window shopping. Reminds me slightly of Harrods from the UK (although this is a much tamer version). Staff are all friendly and counters were very efficient given the number of cashiers present. Exterior designs are really well done and inviting - gives off a very posh vibe and definitely catches the eye of the regular passer-by! They have a very unique wooden escalator too around the seventh or eight level. There are a couple of F&B outlets within this massive layout too so don’t worry about being hungry at all!
Macy’s is my go to store.
They have everything & some really good deals on designer stuff. Sometimes even cheaper than buying direct from the designer stores.
I’ve had some lovely conversations with the staff in this store. When you leave you feel like you’ve made friends. They’re so chilled. It’s great.
Also, the way the store is decorated for Christmas is beautiful. Even if you don’t have money to shop, come and have a look at the lights & decorations. You won’t be disappointed.
Ps. Pop upstairs to the Holiday Square, it’s so cute.
Macy's is a huge store, and this one doesn't disappoint. They have nearly any big designer brand or brand you can think of, with big displays and large holiday involvement, this is a must visit during the holiday season.
The Holiday Market, however, leaves a bit to be desired. There wasn't much stores in the holiday market section, and most of the ones that were showcased can be found at other holiday markets such as the ones in Union Square or Bryant Park. However, it is their first year of doing this, and there isn't much space overall to utilize so I can understand the difficulties.
Overall, it is a wonderful place to visit whenever you are in the city during the holiday season.
Located on W. 34th and Broadway in Midtown West. We were walking 'Times Square', making our way to the 'Empire State Building'... but first, as a Macy's lover, we had to stop at my beautiful Macy's headquarters!
This store is big, clean, and very nicely organized, fully stocked, and filled with so many happy shoppers. Seeing the holiday decor in person was priceless.
Staff was friendly and helpful. Overall, I had a great experience at thee NYC store.
Great place to visit and a must when visiting NY. I was just surprised at how run down some areas were. All in all, so much to see and do in one place. Christmas displays were gorgeous ☺️
