A lot of people are skeptical about staying here. I was too. I enjoyed it for the price I paid. We got a room on the second floor right above where they are doing construction. No warning and we woke up to them doing construction at 6:30 AM. Not great. I called the front desk and they told us to call in the afternoon to switch rooms which they accommodated no problem. The rest of our stay was great. The rooms were clean. Shower pressure between the two rooms were very different but not terrible. Elevators (inclinators) are kind of scary with how much they rumble. The casino is great and at the end of the strip. The monorails are easy to use and very convenient. I would stay here again if I were looking to save money
My son & I stayed here for 3 days and we enjoyed our time here. This hotel has a lot of what you expect on the strip - entertainment, food, bars, and gaming floor. The gaming floor at the Luxor is smaller than some of the others, but the limits are reasonable, and the place is clean. The sports book is not very good as the one at Mandalay Bay, and the two casinos are connected. The theme is unique & raider stadium is only a short 13 min walk.
We enjoyed our stay at the Luxor. The rooms were nice and the service was excellent. However, the interior is perpetually dark and the ambiance is not quite as nice as other hotels we walked through. We will probably stay elsewhere next time, but this fulfilled our needs for this trip and was more inexpensive than other options.
Unfortunately, not the best. We stayed here quite a few times from the time they opened their doors. Yes, it is one of the "older" hotel/casinos now, and it is starting to show. Just looks run down. Rooms are a nice size, but we could not have had a worse view (room 6093). If you wand a nicer view (not rooftops and sides of buildings, ask for a tower room). Shower door did not open properly with a broken handle, we had no soap for hands or shower, no washcloths (I had to ask 3 times to the non-English speaking housekeeper). By day 3 we finally got a washcloth. There was no fridge in the room or coffee maker... so we had to keep going downstairs to Starbucks for $8 coffee. We found ourselves mostly walking through to New York New York, which had an abundant amount of food choices and a livelier casino. Location is convenient, as you can walk through to several other casinos, and MGM is across the street to catch the monorail (that used to be free, but now is $6 per person one way). Next time, we will spend the extra money and stay somewhere in the middle of the strip.
Stayed less than 8 hours, could have been sooner if we came in during the daytime. The hotel reeks, the elevator buttons have spit marks. The rooms are very dated and dirty. No mini fridge, no bottled water, no coffee maker which is a standard at most hotels. No decent place to eat and it is far from everything. We moved to Polo Towers by Hilton across Area and what a difference! Luxor is not for living humans. It belongs to the mummies. Please have some self respect, Don’t stay here!!!
The Luxor Casino in Las Vegas offers a unique experience with its iconic pyramid design and prime location on the Strip. Its proximity to other major attractions makes it convenient for exploring everything Vegas has to offer.
The casino itself has a good selection of games, from slots to table games, catering to casual players and seasoned gamblers alike. While the decor may feel a bit dated compared to newer resorts, the atmosphere is lively and welcoming.
Overall, the Luxor is a solid choice if you’re looking for an affordable stay in a great location, but those seeking more modern amenities might prefer other options nearby.
Not bad, not amazing. Resort fees are high especially for it being winter and the pool and such not being usable. The lineups for check in were long and only two staff at what looks like at least a dozen desks. The room was nice but for a “premium room” to have no view was a bit silly.
Hello everyone,
I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Luxor Hotel in Las Vegas and I must say, the experience was quite memorable. While the hotel may not boast the most modern amenities or intricate details in its decor, it certainly made up for it with one of the best buffets I've ever experienced in Las Vegas.
During my visit, I focused primarily on exploring the culinary offerings of the hotel, so I cannot speak to the overall room quality or other amenities. However, I can confidently say that the Luxor Hotel's buffet exceeded my expectations. In my opinion, it stands out as a hidden gem among the many dining options along the Las Vegas strip.
I would highly recommend the Luxor Hotel to anyone looking for a delightful dining experience. On a scale of 1 to 10, I would give their buffet and dinner options a solid 10 for their exceptional quality and variety.
