Longwood Gardens should absolutely be on your to-do list if you live nearby or are coming from far away. This immaculate garden is breathtaking no matter what time of year you visit. Spend the day inside and out. You could visit 50 times and still find a new and magical place. Wonderful for young and old. Great restaurant options. Plenty of parking. Busier times of year often require a timed ticket so plan ahead. Live concerts and music. Alcohol available. Just saw their Christmas exhibit and it was absolutely enchanting. Highly recommend.
Spent over 4 hours here, 2 during daylight. It is best to go at night if you only want to enjoy the lights. Parking was well organized, no long lines trying to get in, they have plenty of staff to accommodate all the people. This place is crowded only in the main entrance, gift shop and waiting on line for food/ drinks. People in the rest of the 1,100 acre gardens are well spread out. There is so much to see. The food is a bit pricey for what you get, and what you get isn't that good. (pizza and pretzels)Better off bringing your own food in. Suggest hitting the gift shop early. Long line, and it gets mobbed. They do have scooters for the disabled and plenty of ramps if you don't like stairs.
So beautiful at Longwood. Definitely worth the drive. At holiday time, it really is magical. This was a perfect experience to begin the season. Just enough walking without being too much. The gift shop is outstanding. It's the first and last thing you see. Longwood displays were phenomenal this year. We definitely all enjoyed the decorations and overall experience
This indoor conservatory is magical with Christmas lights. The indoor and outdoor both are beautifully lit and the Christmas vibe is oozing all around.
It is meant for family fun-time and kids and adults both enjoy a lot. We visited on our thanksgiving weekend and were smitten by its beauty. Botanical garden was out of this world and there are more than 100+ Christmas trees on display.

As long time members and supporters of Longwood, this place is truly a treasure. I've been coming to Longwood since I was a child and it never ceases to amaze me. The hard work the entire staff put into this world of plants and botanical wonders is truly beautiful.
It was wonderful to finally experience Longwood reimagined and see the new buildings including the new 1906 location. We forgot to grab reservations but we will be back for dinner. Beautiful all around.
The Christmas experience at Longwood is a family tradition for us. Seeing all of the beautiful trees and decoration make the Christmas time even more special.
Definitely visit and if you live locally or travel in the area from time to time, become a member!
We went here for Thanksgiving day (to avoid all family traditions) and it far exceeded our expectations! The cafe had a delicious homemade turkey dinner which was a wonderful surprise. And the grounds were beautiful. We loved the outdoor train garden. The conservatory was as lovely as ever & the new conservatory was gorgeous! Such a relaxing & lovely day. Thank you so much!!
Even though it was raining, we had a wonderful time taking in both the inside and outside exhibits. It was fun to explore all the treehouses and listen to the music around the fountains with all the colorful lights.
The inside with all the various beautiful plants and poinsettias provided a sense of peace and calm. I highly recommend visiting especially during this time of the year.
We’ve visited this garden twice, and both experiences were amazing! ???????? During Christmas, the decorations are especially delightful, with beautiful lighting arrangements that make the place magical at night. They illuminate the trees with lights, creating a breathtaking sight. ????✨
The garden is quite large and features a charming treehouse, stunning fountains, and an impressive collection of plants and flowers. ???????? There are also food courts, and their mushroom soup ???? is absolutely delicious—a must-try!
Overall, it’s a wonderful place to explore, especially during the festive season. Highly recommended!
