Best WLM Reviews

This is a good place if you are from out of town and have never had southern food. The mashed potatoes tasted like they were instant and the country fried steak was bland. Our server Drake was outstanding as we had a large party and he never missed a thing. The place is very loud and you have a sensory challenged family member I would advise to steer clear. The rolls are good food wise that sums it up.
We went on a Thursday around 130pm. We had 10 in our party and told 20 min wait. We only waited 10 minutes. My kids always get kids menu but they refused my 11 year old a grill cheese. Has to be 10. My 12 year old has swallow difficulty so they did allow her kids menu. Usually places let u get food off kids menu. I had catfish it was good. Rolls are hot and fun to catch.
As always, it was absolutely amazing!!! I took my youngest daughter as kinda like a Daddy/Daughter night out. She had never been, so it was so much fun for her. I apologize for not remembering our waiter's name, but he was the best. He was about 6'5" and maybe in his 50's and served in the Navy as well. He made our experience better than I could ever had imagined. The food was sooooo good just like always. As you can see, we might have eaten a few rolls with our butter and that cinnamon roll though. I really can't say enough about this place. If you haven't ever eaten here, you are definitely missing out. It was well worth the wait that was actually shorter than I was prepared for. I can't wait to go back.
The food here is always DELICIOUS. I try something new every time I go, but my favorite things have got to be the Hog Jowl with Collard Greens, root beer, rolls, and fried okra. The wait is usually around 45 minutes, so prepare to sit around for a while. It's worth the wait, of course. The last time I was here, service was weird. Our waitresses changed 3 times. We weren't unpleasant to them, but maybe they were just busy. The last waitress we had was pretty nice. I would've liked a refill on my drink, but she was gone in a flash anytime she came by.
The roll throwing staff are AWESOME. There's an older black gentleman who can pitch a roll to the other side of the dining room with crazy accuracy - it's really something.
Back to the food - if you love bacon, get the hog jowl. It's crispy, thick, and piled high. Some people say it's enough for 2 people, but I'm not sharing! Get it with the greens and cornbread for an authentic taste of the South. The greens melt in your mouth and have just the right amount of heat (just a tingle).
And the rolls! Oh, the rolls...hot, slightly crispy on the outside, fluffy and somehow dense on the inside - spread some butter on them with a drizzle of honey or molasses. Heaven!
Have foreign friends you want to impress with American overindulgence? Take them here. It's guaranteed to knock their socks off!
The food was delicious and service was great! We came at a busy time so we had to wait half an hour. But that's understandable at Sunday lunchtime! The only complaints I have are that they need bigger restrooms and it was noisy! The rambunctious boys sitting behind me kept banging on the booth back that we shared! But other than that it's a fun family place to go!
The longest wait I have ever encountered to get in a restaurant, but I will admit the food was AWESOME! It was like eating food from my grandma that was served with so much love and attention. Beware of the flying rolls if some hit you it's not the person tossing, it's the person in front of you that can't catch! Those guys can throw! The service was spectacular and a very clean restaurant. This is a "definite" eat there again place!" Loved it!
if we are being completely honest with ourselves, Lambert’s is an overrated Cracker Barrel. we waited outside for 45 minutes in a sea of cigar smoke and screaming children to have the most underwhelming experience ever. the food was not great, but the rolls were hot and fresh. however, this was overshadowed by the fact that inside Lambert’s is dark and dirty. if you’re looking for a tourist trap, this. is. it.
Such a fun dining experience. A short wait for a table on a Thursday evening. So much fun catching rolls thrown across the dining room. And delicious. Very prompt service and the food came out unexpectedly quickly. The sweet tea is right on point. Haven't had a bad meal here. Go for the thrown rolls, stay for the fried ocra. I do miss all the writing on the walls. Guessing the commies from the health department didn't like it. Too bad; that was a really fun part of the experience.
