The food here is just like Mama makes at home. The fried potatoes and turnip greens were so good. Everything here is worth the price. The service is fantastic, and the wait staff is phenomenal. I will be coming back here anytime I am in the area. My only regret is I didn't come here sooner on my vacation as I would have gone here more. A table a few seats away had a crying toddler. One of the staff came over and held the kid till she stopped crying. Absolutely incredible service!!!
My husband and I were shopping at Tangler Outlet Mall. Even we decided to try Lambert because of its reviews. We were not disappointed
Our server, Andy, is the best. He kept coming back to check on us and kept good conversation and positive vibes out to us. The food was very good. Yes, they throw fresh rolls from the oven. The pass around food is also outstanding. Don't forget to get apple butter on this rolls
This was a great dining experience. The whole family enjoyed the food, which has ENORMOUS portions. Any southerner will understand, that's just how the south likes it. The Throwing of the rolls was a fun time for kids but our group , the adults enjoyed it even more. Everyone had leftovers to take home, and prices are absolutely reasonable especially considering portion size. Loved looking at all the decor around. Awesome ???? job guys. Keep up the good work! Y'all get out of there and check it out, u won't regret it
Lambert's is a real experience. We loved having lunch in this Cafe with its themed setting and generous good portions. A highlight was the continuous offerings of complimentary extras, especially the beautiful warm bread rolls. It was great to see the famous bread throwers in action and their accuracy was impeccable. The bread was straight from the oven and delicious. The servers were also excellent and looked like they had fun doing their jobs. This is a place not to be missed and excellent value for money with reasonably priced dishes.
This place was so good. I liked everything about it. Good old fashioned cooking. The throwed rolls makes it fun too. I like the shared plates such a great idea. Then you can try different things. We shared a lot of our food.
Third or fourth time to eat here, but each time it's better than the last time. Stopped here after a week at the beach in gulf shores to eat one of the best lunches I've ever eaten. Fried
potatoes and onions, meatloaf, beef tips and rice, fresh "throwed" rolls, fried okra, white beans with ham, baked potato, pasta and tomato salad, homemade apple butter and more. Everything was delicious and we took home 4 to go boxes. Loved everything about the place and we had the BEST server- LaToya, who went out of her way to make sure we had the best experience possible. If I lived closer, I'd eat here a couple of times a week. 5 stars!
We were surprised to not have a wait when we arrived. Our server was incredibly nice and attentive. I ordered the liver and onions and tried the frog legs, both of those items lacked flavor and the liver was a little tough. The other people with our party ordered catfish, BBQ pork steaks, and chicken strips, those were good. The rolls were also tasty soft and warm.

Get there early always a line,but it goes fast... Food is good never had anything bad...
Table's are bench type seats , but not bad...
Love all of the old antiques hanging on the wall.puts it back in time a little bit.
