Best WLM Reviews

This is an AWESOME place. Very nostalgic & the guy throwing the bread rolls was so great! He had a fantastic aim! The food was unbelievably priced cheap for the amount you get. As soon as you are seated the server was quick to take drink order. They serve the drinks in a huge Lambert’s mug. Can’t see anyone needing a refill! Also they immediately come out announcing hot rolls & will throw them to you. Then they come around the tables with fried okra & place it on a paper towel on your table. You have to tell them to stop. After receiving your plates of food they come around with bowls of tomato & macaroni, blacked eyed with hog jowl, & fried potatoes. You can also take home cinnamon rolls. I was in awe of this place. If you are from the city this is definitely a place where you will learn southern style country eating! To my dismay there are only 3 in the USA.
Grate atmosphere and food. Be aware, not only do you get your two sides with your meal. They walk around with extra sides. Fried okra, fried potatoes, kidney beans, macaroni salad and always the tossed rolls the size of your hand! After you get your roll wait for the guy with the apple butter and sorghum molasses.
Everyone was so friendly! This was the best restaurant experience I’ve ever had. Everyone seemed to love their job from the person throwing the rolls to the servers to the kitchen worker I spoke to while walking around… We had so much food. I had an entire to go box from my meal that I could barely close and it was only $23 ???? this place also had a very unique atmosphere yo it. Also has a gift shop. I would 11/10 recommend this place
Such a great dining experience! My catfish plate tasted so great with mac n cheese and green beans for the sides. My husband recommends the hand breaded chicken tenders for another meal. We got offered many different sides during our whole meal. Of course the throwed rolls were the highlight of our meals!
I love this place. So worth the long wait. Food is always delicious and love all the extra pass arounds. Their rolls are huge and fun to catch. Must get a cinnamon roll to go. Always a great experience
Hey, if you're in the mood for some good ol' southern cooking, this is the spot! I tell ya, it was so popular, and the service was even better than I could've imagined! I drove two whole hours to get there, and let me tell ya, it was worth it! I had the fried shrimp with cucumber, onion, and green beans, and it was finger-lickin' good! And the best part? Watching them toss those hot rolls to people was hilarious! I did my best to catch every single one, and I'm proud to say I succeeded! If you haven't been to this place yet, you gotta go! Trust me, you won't regret it!
I haven't been in years, we decided to go for a birthday. Even though it was crowded, we were seated within 20 mins of arriving. The food was ok. The greens tasted like they were just scooped out the can onto our plates, and they had zero seasoning. The pass around were delicious, especially the okra and fried potatoes. Overall, the food was ok, especially the yams.
The food was okay. I wouldn't go out of my way to come here again. The corn bread was hard as a hockey puck. Frog legs did taste good but very, very greasy. Definitely had higher hopes.
