I've been working downtown for almost 20 years and this whole in the wall Vietnamese restaurant is one of my favorite go-to places for lunch. It is very small inside with limited seating in the front and some more seating in the back. If you do go just expect to be a line out the door. It's the same family who was owned and operated the place for many years. Be sure to try there Vietnamese sandwiches and beef noodle soup which they are famous for. The beef noodle soup is a huge serving. If you aren't feeling well or just want some delicious authentic beef noodle soup, this is the place for you. You can get a large Vietnamese sandwich for under $10. $10. You can get six large egg rolls for under $7
Delicious huge bowl of beef pho. Was absolutely stuffed. Reasonably priced for large order of pho I received. Definitely get there early if wanting to dine in as seating is very limited. Bookmarking as one of my favorites in Sacramento.
I come here mostly for the Vietnamese sandwiches.. BBQ chicken and pork.. both are absolutely amazing! I love these sandwiches! they are delicious and I feel like they are Way healthier than a regular Subway sandwich!????????
Had a delicious banh mi sandwich. It was under $10 and huge, a fantastic deal and super tasty! Definitely recommend this place.
It's busy at lunch. Food is not exactly Vietnamese Authentic. They serve egg rolls that are huge, but no lettuce wraps or Vietnamese sauce to go with them. Instead packets of sweet and sour sauce. The Pho is okay but wow - huge portion. The bowl is massive. Soup tastes fine but I guess I'm a bit spoiled being from Southern California where we have large population of Vietnamese people, meaning a lot of restaurants to choose from. The owners are really nice here, treating customers well. Lots of smiles. I reccomend this restaurant.
Simple menu of Vietnamese food. I appreciate the variety for a place smack in the middle of downtown sac, on J street. The people working there are vietnamese so the food isn't gentrified or expensive. I got the beef pho and that's what I expected, not a lot of frills but great for when im craving easy store bought pho without going to South Sacramento. Quick and easy :)
I was downtown waiting for a friend and looked up places to eat near me . Kim restaurant caught my attention because it was really close walking distance from where I was at and because they served Pho! The restaurant is kinda small and theres nothing fancy about the place its open M-F 10-230pm, the place gets a little crammed during lunch time and seating is limited. The menu selection isnt very big, there is only beef Pho and its only one size bowl. The bowl is huuuge, and it was actually very good it comes with a small plate of sprouts, a tiny lime wedge,a few jalapenos and a few pieces of basil to garnish the bowl with. The people working are very friendly and food comes out hot and fast!
First i have to say that Vietnamese food have at least 2 difference taste 1/from northern and 1/from southern, and basically flavor that we eat normally look like northern: no sweetener like smoothies, like southern, and Pho flavor here are from southern and we couldn’t eat it, it was too sweet compared pho from northern, i know some restaurants usually cook normal so everyone can eat and come back, but this restaurant iam not come back and not recommend for people from northern Vietnam, but banh mi was good my son finished , the staff was nice also, service was fast
