Beautiful job on the remodel, the partnership with the magic gardens was well done and is a must see. The lines are long as expected with a grand opening. The staff are great, so friendly and attentive. It's cash only with seating on two levels.
Now the cheese steak...flavorless. Maybe because of how quickly they are slinging them out, but mine wouldn't have any taste if it weren't for the ketchup. Good portion size though. Not too packed with meat.
Went there based on reviews. One of the top rated location for Philly steak. The food tasted good , it did feel a bit dry. It was busy over there, they were pushing those orders hard .. it’s unfortunate that they only accept cash. It caused a bit of confusion.. didn’t notice it until I was almost at the counter.. I hope they start accepting card payments… decent seating space .. A tad bit expensive in my opinion .. but worth a one time try ..
I love the bread on the cheese steak w/ onions. Meat was great and not chopped to oblivion. Had to add a touch of salt. Prices weren't bad either.
Absolutely love Jim's! They did a fantastic job with the remodel after the fire, so glad they reopened. Much more seating options than before when people were standing on top of each other to eat. The cheese steak was delicious and we were so happy to stop in while visiting.
Visiting from Australia and a local told me this is the best Philly Cheesesteak in the world. They were right. Make sure you sit upstairs and marvel at the beautiful mosaic. Wow: To top it off, the staff member upstairs was very friendly. This is Philadelphia’s #1 destination!
Waited on an out the door line and when it was my turn I ordered a cheese steak with wiz. It was pretty good and the line itself moved very fast. They also had amp seating and the whole place was clean even the bathrooms. One bad thing is you don't find out they are cash only till you get inside and see the signs but they have two ATMs for use
This was my first experience at this restaurant, and I have to say it lived up to every expectation I had!! The line was long enough where I figured out the proper way to order before I got up to my chance. What a great experience and the job they did rebuilding after the fire turned out amazing!!!!
It was a fun experience to watch them cook the steak and onions on the grill. The only problem was they got a little fast with the spatula and I ended up with grease on my face and shirt. The other guy at the grill had to go wash his eye out from the water and grease flying.
