Very nice resort. We stayed in West Village where the rooms are updated. The pools are all nice, but the lazy river pool is always horribly over crowded. In order to use a tube at the lazy river, you have to pay $9/person per day. Ridiculous! The cost of tubes should be covered in the maintenance fees owners pay, or put into the resort fees. We ordered adult beverages at one of the poolside places by the lazy river. Paid $43 for 2 drinks, a smoothie for our daughter and required gratuity. There was no alcohol in our drinks but no way to prove it. I am absolutely positive there was water in the liquor bottles, not vodka or rum.
The restaurants, putt putt, etc all closed too early. They allow people to smoke on their patio and the smoke enters other patios and rooms. The kitchen is not well set up so if you cook on vacation be prepared with your own stuff. The beds were very uncomfortable and there's no ceiling fan in the master bedroom. The AC made a horrible noise every time it came on. The tennis and basketball courts were crowded and loud every night which made it hard for little ones to sleep.
Great location. Nice rooms. Great pools (other than the lazy river pool). Hot tubs are scarce and over crowded. It's iffy if we'd ever stay again.
Our stay at the holiday Inn orange suites was fabulous. The check in was smooth and the entire stay was relaxing and refreshing. The lazy river and the pool side movie experience along with the pool side jacuzzi was great. We also managed to play pickle ball, table tennis and bowling at the arcade. A special mention of the exemplary service by Margarita our shuttle driver who guided us to all the major attractions at the resort - she was the most valuable guide. She helped us out with everything, went out of her way and without her our stay wouldnt have been as wonderful. Will definitely come back for a visit.
I honestly could not recommend this hotel more!! It is a brilliant location - 15 minutes drive from the Disney parks, 20 minutes from Universal and right in the middle of many shops and restaurants! We had a two bedroom suite during our stay which had two bathrooms, a full kitchen and living room/dining room, and a balcony. We also had a washer and dryer in our suit which came in very handy! The staff could not be more helpful and were very friendly. The facilities on site were fantastic, as were the restaurants and bars - a little pricey but very nice! It also had parking outside of each on the “apartment blocks” which was brilliant! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will absolutely be returning in the future!
This amazing is huge! It is definitely for everyone and with the amenities that this resort has, you do not need to go anywhere. We stayed at the West Village and it was so peaceful and quiet during our stay. Our two-bedroom villa was big and one of the bathrooms had a jet-tub! The resort staff were very accommodating and the shuttle bus drivers were very friendly.
Staying on the resort now for The second time in six months, beautiful place. Great for kids and wonderful amenities. First time I was here I didn’t get to enjoy everything so we booked a second time. This time around we had a horrible experience with several staff members at check-in and restaurants. Came for early check-in, like the staff suggested and waited an hour and a half for our room to be ready. When it was supposed to be ready, we came in and the room was trashed. Went back to the front desk and all of a sudden a new room was ready, magic. They are super persistent about the tour so we decided to go. I asked five times how long the timeshare tour was while booking and was told 90 minutes. I should’ve listened to the review someone left that said not to do it because it took us 3 1/2 hours , our tour guide was phenomenal, but our experience was horrible. It ruined our day, this trip has me turned off coming back again. The service here was garbage, and when they screw up
First time at this resort, and sadly, it will be our last. Our room was ready early, which was great, but it went downhill from there. Fan was not connected to the ceiling properly, so we couldn’t even turn it on. We suspected there was mold in our room and nobody at the front desk gave a damn. The TV in the living room didn’t work. The view was abysmal - it looked into the communal area right outside of the arcade. The bowling alley was very loud and you could hear it from our room. The bed was incredibly uncomfortable. They charged $11 for BATH TOWELS! What in the world?!?!
Now onto the bathroom….. silverfish in the towels and stray earring on the floor, the shower curtain didn’t fit right, and bathtub wasn’t clean.
We own 2 other timeshares and felt pressured into doing the presentation. We were promised it was only 90 minutes. It took 3 HOURS. High pressure sales and not 1, not 2, but 3 sales reps came our way trying to get us to sign our lives away. Not happening people. The 2 timeshares we currently have meet our needs, and we tried explaining that to them, but they wouldn’t listen.
The only redeeming quality of this resort is the lazy river. But, there’s a catch to that: if God forbid one of the rent-a-lifeguards catches you in a tube without a wrist band, he blows his whistle at you, embarrasses you, and makes you give back the tube. I had my own raft with me but my friend that was with me didn’t, so we picked up some stray ones just floating around. Absolutely no harm in what we did, but those rent-a-lifeguards need to get their jollies off somewhere I suppose.
Next time I exchange my points through RCI, I am avoiding this place like the plague.
I'm an owner at this resort and pay maintenance fees to stay here once a year. This year was the worst thus far. Water heater flooded. It took several calls to get someone out there. They got it fixed quickly, but all the carpets were wet. No one left fans to help dry the carpets. I'm still wait now for over 3 hours for someone to bring fans. Now they say someone stole the fans. If you run into a maintenance issue, it might take you entire stay to get it fixed.
Just got back from a fantastic holiday at the Holiday inn club vacations at orange lake Florida. The complex is absolutely stunning with different pools and areas. The pools are top class especially the lazy river area which is so cool. The accommodation is lovely and huge with everything you need. The food in the restaurants is great. We did the parks and got back around 1900 and head straight for the pool as its open until 2200 which is ideal. I would most certainly recommend this hotel.
