Best WLM Reviews

Spacious, well maintained two bedroom, 2 bath unit. Fully equipped kitchen, dining table for 8, large living room, patio with table and chairs. |Staff was uniformly friendly. Meals at three different restaurants were all wonderful…..fresh, tasty, prompt. ||Did not use the amenities, we were there for Disney. After a day of crowds, lines, overpriced treats, lines, and lines, the resort was a peaceful retreat. ||Took 20-45 minutes to get parked at any Disney park. Took 20-45 minutes back. Just depends on the hordes! Lots of restaurants on the road outside the resort. Drugstores, Walmart, Publix, and gas are close. ||We paid $1300 all-in for the unit for 7 nights. Well worth it.
Beautiful resort, lots to do if you have a down day with kids and want to relax at resort, I was told incorrectly by RCI agent North village has lazy River and West village has ||Pool. Arcade and putt putt golf. We stayed in West Village still very nice but had to take a car to get to lazy River and swimming area over there. Our unit was nicely stocked with utensils, towels, dishes, glasses and even many baking dishes if you chose to cook your own meals. Linens etc. ||Plus washer and dryer in unit nice feature with 3 kids we def used it. The check in process was a hassle , as we arrived early they held our luggage nice perk but trying to retrieve it later on no one could find it or get it for us, after 2 hours we got it, plus I had reserved a roll away crib and that was not given to us the first night, and after calling the next day and speaking to front desk and manager we got one for the remainder of our stay. We had a new born with us so it was huge concern and|| issue, plus I was told no problem we will have one upon arriving in our room. ||I would stay here again, trying the North Village , hopefully the customer service issues and check in process goes smoother. ||
We stayed here for three nights to visit the Magic Kingdom.|We are owners at the River Island resort.|Check in was a hassle because we had to queue for a while, then you get sent to a second person who tries to sign you up for a timeshare meeting.|We agreed to the meeting and were promised a cash amount for attending and told that if we did not turn up we would be charged $30.|We also informed this second check in guy that we wanted out of our timeshare. He told us that someone at the meeting would be able to help with this.|We attended the meeting on time (and were kept waiting) and were met by a very pleasant lady.|She seemed to know that we wanted out of our timeshare and advised that we probably didn’t need the presentation.|We said that if it was required we would listen.|In the end she advised against it.|She had us complete some form detailing that we were looking to get rid. She promised that we would not get billed the $30 ( I should think so too as we turned up for the presentation) .|Well I guess no surprise really, we got billed $30 in spite of turning up. We are out of pocket for $30 and at no stage were offered the cash for attending. Also, no one wanted to give us any useful information regarding getting out of our timeshare. The lady that was trying to deal with us seemed to be concerned by a menacing man hovering a few yards behind us all.|I would avoid Orange Lake if I were you. They don’t keep their promises.|The accommodation was very nice. A two bedroom apartment on the top floor overlooking the lake and golf course.
The young man at check in was fantastic. He could see we were tired from a long drive and went out of his way to get us our room well before the slated check in. The property, pools, golf, and restaurants were clean and well manicured. The bedrooms were comfortable and bathrooms were very clean. Wonderful time away with friend.
Hotel Review: Disappointing Experience with Numerous Issues
We recently stayed at this hotel for six days, and unfortunately, it did not meet our expectations in many aspects. From outdated rooms to subpar service, the experience left much to be desired.
Firstly, the rooms are in desperate need of renovation. Many areas of the hotel feel outdated, and the overall ambiance is below average compared to other properties in this price range. To add to the inconvenience, housekeeping did not service our room during our stay, meaning no fresh towels for the pool, no trash removal, and no bed service. When we asked for clean towels, we were directed to the laundry room to wash them ourselves—certainly not what you expect when you're on vacation to relax.
Another significant issue was the incessant time-share sales pitches. It felt like every time we walked around the property, we were approached by sales staff pushing time-shares, which became quite bothersome. Guests should be able to enjoy their stay without constantly feeling pressured by salespeople.
Additionally, the fire alarm system malfunctioned for two days straight, going off nearly every hour. This not only disrupted our relaxation but also raised concerns about the hotel's safety protocols.
Finally, prior to booking, we were informed that the hotel offered shuttle service to local parks, which was a primary reason we chose this location. However, upon arrival, we discovered that the only shuttle provided is for transportation within the hotel property itself. This misinformation was disappointing and added unexpected transportation costs and logistical challenges to our plans.
In summary, the combination of misleading information, lack of basic services, and the constant time-share pressure made this stay a frustrating experience. We will not be returning, and I would caution other travelers to consider alternative accommodations if they’re looking for a relaxing and hassle-free vacation.
My experience with Holiday Inn and the people at this resort has been nothing short of a real estate scam. I was held in the presentation for 4 hours until I agreed to sign and was told I could cancel it at any point in time if I didn’t like it. I wanted to leave and they would not allow me to. Their big hook was that it was an investment for family. It has been just over a year and I have been contacting Holiday Inn about this with no cooperation, apology, or reasonable solution. This was a clear bait and switch operation. If you or anyone you know is going to be staying at a Holiday Inn resort I would sincerely recommend avoiding going to any presentations or buying into it. Stay at the resort without becoming a “member” and save yourself a lot of money and inconvenience. Buying into it makes it inaccessible and exponentially overpriced.
Awful/deceptive service. They force you to sign up for a tour/sales pitch for a time share in order to get my room keys and parking pass. They offered a reward (free week vacation or food vouchers for attending). I felt extremely pressured to agree just so I could finally get to my room. I went back a few hours later to cancel this tour, which was 2 days away, and was told I would be charged a $30 cancelation fee. It is unacceptable to push this on someone just trying to check into their room and the charge them for canceling. The time they scheduled me for would not have even given me enough time make my flight home
It was an ok stay. Stayed with family and when arriving at the unit the stove top was turned on which is extremely dangerous traveling with children. The microwave handle was also broken and during our stay the fridge started to leak. It was an adventurous time. Will go back due to the updates that are being made and give it another shot.
