Our 3 night experience here was fantastic. We stayed in 2/queen ocean view room in one of the towers. We enjoyed a few meals on the premises and enjoyed the proximity to the sand, beach, and shopping areas. Rooms were quiet and clean. This place is rich with history and well taken care of. I was nervous because of the prior negative reviews but I’m more and more convinced “these days” that people are just entitled or have wacky expectations. Yes, it’s an older property but they know what they are doing! ????
The only redeeming factor of this massive tourist trap is the location. My bathroom literally smells like piss. You can have room service every day and it still smells like piss. I'm too lazy to pack up and go to another room.
Smoking, sure, there is a $300 fine but it's probably not enforced. You smell strong cigarette stench each morning down by the pool/bar, people smoke regularly on their balconies. Maybe increase the fine to $1000 and actually enforce it.
Noise, so live band until maybe 9PM on a Monday is fine, that is no problem, it's the dropping of iron or whatever else was going on at 5AM the next day? Definitely the kind of place parents with little ones should think twice about.
Food options and ABC store on-site, don't do it if you can. Prices are literally 2x anywhere else on Waikiki.
Rooms are dated and the condition of the hotel just looks aged. Thankfully work is paying this one, id be so disappointed to spend my own money on this place.
Proximity to the beach is the only redeeming factor of this overpriced, completely packed tourist trap.
Great view of the ocean! Would’ve liked to have a microwave. Just a little miscommunication with room change and the cleaning service employees not knowing we extended our last day until 6pm. Other than that it was an amazing experience. House keeper Grace took good care of us. Rowel booked our room and was very nice.
The people are friendly and the service is good. We traveled with a 7 month old. We requested a kettle in the room and although they didn't have one they sent up a microwave for us. We didn't use it but they did have a coffee machine in the room that we used to warm up bottles. Location is great. Only a 12 minute walk to the main strip. We walked to town 4/8 days. Would definitely stay here again. Rooms are very dated and there is construction going on in some rooms. You don't see it but you may hear it depending on which room you stay in. Hotel has everything you need so you won't have to leave if you dont want to. Shout out to Jackie at the front desk for the great service and going above and beyond to accommodate us and our baby
Our room was just right for us. We have kids and they enjoyed staying here. The staffs are very friendly and helpful. Especially our housekeeper, DENCIO, he was very accommodating and made sure we had everything we needed! Would like to come back here again :)
This hotel was fantastic! We booked sweet rooms it was really comfortable and the room from the view was stunning!
Unfortunately due to the wind, we were not able to watch the fireworks.
However, my nieces and nephews enjoyed the time at the swimming pool!
Definitely come back!
Thank you mahalo
My stay at this hotel was absolutely incredible! From the moment I walked in, Chad at the front desk made me feel like a VIP with the smoothest and friendliest check-in experience I’ve ever had. The Tapa Tower 1-bedroom suite was the perfect touch, providing a comfortable and relaxing space that made my stay unforgettable. I can’t wait to come back!
Just spent 6 nights at this fabulous resort. We stayed in the Tapa Tower. I recurve an upgraded room because I have hilton gold status. Beautiful room. Clean and spacious with a beautiful view of the ocean! My housekeeper, PetraFe Verzosa was so kind. So sweet. Providing excellent service! A clean room is important to me and this room meet my standard. This is a beautiful resort and all the staff was attentive and helpful. Will stay here again.
