Visited December 15, 2024 after a HORRIBLE hot chicken meal from another Nashville restaurant. The mild/Nashville 2 piece was AWESOME! The collards & grits were outstanding! My sister and I ordered their spiked strawberry lemonade & it was great too! She ordered dirty fries which are covered in a pimento cheese that she described as AMAZING! Highly recommend this place for great Nashville hot chicken and sides! The guys that rang us up were awesome!Playful and fun atmosphere because there is/was a wait... but well worth it!
Absolutely out of this world!!! So beyond delicious my god! If you’re in Nashville this is a MUST try!!!
It’s also very reasonably priced. For two we spent $40 and couldn’t even finish everything we ordered. Great bang for your buck.
They also have many different gluten free options such as sides and their tenders. Checkout the pics, you won’t be disappointed!
Damn that’s hot!! I can usually take on heat without any issues but Damn Hot chicken was pretty damn hot enough where I couldn’t finish the whole thing. If you are feeling brave, give it a try but if you got the balls, try the shut the cluck up! I certainly did not have the balls to try this but would love to watch someone else eat it. I tried the tenders and the sandwich. Both were pretty good. I would’ve enjoyed it more if I got it less spicy. I think hot and medium level of heat was just enough for me.
Good luck!
Good enough that we braved the line ... twice! We were in town for the weekend and had to try Hattie B's. It did not disappoint. While we were waiting in line we had a chance to talk to some of the people there and we were forewarned that the hot is really hot and the damn hot is PHEW! So we ordered accordingly. I got mild and the husband got hot. I do think it makes a difference if you're getting a sandwhich vs. tenders. The sandwich definitely tempers down the heat. The chicken is so fresh and tender and the sauces are tasty. The slaw is great, beans are delicious. I wasn't too big a fan of the mac & cheese, a little soggy. Fries were fresh and hot. It was an experience watching how well the staff here works together to keep the tables turned over and clean and the whole place looking great.
Hearing all the hype about this place as THE place to get chicken, I had to come and try some. As many others stated, they are incredibly busy with a line out of the door. Due to this I got takeout. Starting off I got fried pickles, which somehow did not have a pickle flavor at all. I thought it was super strange and blamed it on the batter until I ate the pickles that came with my entree. Their pickles taste like cucumbers that sat in pickle juice for 15 minutes- no classic sour taste, no real flavor at all. Moving to other sides I got the Mac n cheese. To me it was more of a pasta salad texture, the pimentos added a weird taste, definitely not my favorite. For my entree I got chicken strips. The chicken was soggy and not crisp at all. It had little to no flavor, but the flavor it did have didn’t match to any of the sauces I got including honey mustard, ranch, or their “fry sauce.” Their French fries were heavily seasoned and actually a perfect texture with a nice crisp crunch. At the bottom of the box was a soggy piece of crushed white bread. I got banana pudding as well and was really underwhelmed. The cookies were stale and the bananas in the bottom had deep brown black centers. Weird texture overall. There’s a lot of hype around this place but compared to places like Canes (especially for the steep price) - it falls crazy short for me.
Our first fried chicken in the South, and it was delicious! We had the chicken tenders, big pieces with lots of meat and great seasoning. All the people were so nice and accommodating. There's a nice covered deck outside for seating as well as inside seating. The crinkle fries were crispy and good, as was the coleslaw. Highly recommended!
We had an incredible meal at Hattie’s B in Nashville! The chicken was delicious – I went with mild, and it still packed a nice kick and my husband had medium. The grits are out of this world; don’t sleep on those! The pimento mac n cheese was fantastic, and the banana pudding was a nostalgic treat, just like grandma used to make. The store was spotless, and every team member was friendly, kind, and genuinely seemed happy to be there, which was refreshing. Can’t wait to come back to Nashville and dine here again!”
Came here for my first try at Hot Chicken and is was excellent! There was a long line when we arrived but it moved quickly and we got a seat at the covered patio.
I recommend the fried chicken sandwich with everything. I had it at the hot level which was perfect - spicy but still tasty. The chicken tenders were also really good.
There is some parking around the restaurant, and we were able to find a spot.
