Best WLM Reviews

Greetings,
I am usually never a person to write reviews, however in this case I feel it is necessary.
I came to the casino with my Wife and my Mother. The first night a waitress spilled several drinks. We were not expecting compensation, however follow up on that matter didn't take place on their end. Both nights in the hotel we didn't sleep well due to noises. The second night is the real conflict. My Wife was asleep and my mother and I were having a quiet conversation. I believe Security mistaked our room for someone else and asked us to keep it down. I mentioned to the security guard that I felt like we weren't being noisy. At that point we decided to go to sleep. As we were laying down security knocks on our door once more and the gentlemen stated "This can get a lot worse for you if you keep this up" We all felt threatened at that moment and felt like we were being forced out of the hotel after paying for the experience and not having a liable reason for disruptions we had from employees during our stay.
I spoke to the front desk on the issue in the morning, she mentioned that she will let management know and get back to me if they decide to refund the room.
Overall we did have fun with some of the events going on this past weekend, and again I dislike coming here and writing this review, this not something I ever do. However these experiences with the employees made us uncomfortable.
This is a decent hotel for the location. Several restaurant options, bowling alley and movie theatre next door. They hurry is set up for stay actions so no daily room cleaning. They have a nice pool with swim up bar and food options. There is a spa and weight room on site as well.
which, sometimes, is a good thing. But, not in this case. ||Food: Overpriced and meh. When you're being charged $10 for a Hot Dog, you either pay it, or pass. I passed. ||$22 for a cheese pizza isnt a great price; but, at least it's not as bad as $10 for a HOT DOG! ||The rooms are small; and what are those things at the head of the bed? They LOOK like pillows, but, they are the flattest most uncomfortable things there are. People used to lay their heads on rocks. THAT would have been a HUGE improvement. ||The fact its 15-25 miles from the freeway doesnt help, either. Wild Horse id right off the freeway, so, next time, I'll book there. ||As far as the casino itself goes, the games are pretty much all the same. Those games where they make you think it's close to the bonus, whether its fiorecrackers "about to go off", or pigs about to explode; but, $100+ in, and they dont, or, if they do, they pay pennies. ||There's a few cool games; but, compared to Wild Horse, not even close. The games are tired. ||I did see a drink server a few times-- certainly not the way it used to be; even when it wasnt "the way it used to be". ||They removed the self serve soda machines about a decade ago. One can understand, when people dont clean up after themselves. But, at the same time, food prices are ridiculous, drink prices even crazier, and, not once did I get offered a soda, in 3 days. Again, Wild Horse, did have a soda bar, albeit somewhat hidden, so, I didnt see it until the end. But, at least they had one.
Hubby and I decided to go out for the night. We chose to stay the night at Harrahs. We chose a dog friendly room. I was so happy with the set up. The rooms have tile floors in case of an accident! There’s a back door that leads to a grassy area where you can walk your dog. Pool was right in front. Casino was not far. The room amenities were fine. A fridge, coffee maker, iron and board and a safe.
First off, I am not a gambler and we were traveling through from Lake Havasu to Tucson and decided to take our time, hang out a bit in Maricopa, explore and enjoy our drive.
So being not a gambler, we used Harrah's as an overnight stay kinda place. My friend who was with me played a bit and he came out ahead, a few hundreds in fact, so that pleased him.
As for me, the amenities, the restaurants, the pool and grounds were plenty pleasant and I enjoyed them. The rooms are clean, bed linens and pillowcases felt new, everything had a sense of cleanliness.
Our room faced the pool and I enjoyed that, so if I had a recommendation, opt for a poolside view.
In the morning, the area had a stench of cow, but that's the area, nothin' to do with the hotel, however, I'm just sayin'.
We spent 1 night at the hotel while in town visiting friends. Our room was comfortable and quiet. There wasn't much of a view, but the beds were comfortable, and everything was clean. The casino was easy to navigate and a lot of fun. The location is a bit isolated and rural, but that situation appears to be changing. We'll stay here again when we get back to this area.
Wife and I drive truck and this may be the worst customer service we've ever experienced from a hotel. There are many hotels and casinos much closer to Phoenix that are a much better experience. We recommend staying away from Maricopa.
This hotel was a huge disappointment. We were in the Cactus Tower on the Fourth Floor. When we entered the room, it was hot, stuffy and stinky. It smells like the carpet needs to be cleaned. The furniture in the room is worn, dinged and showing wear and tear. The room did not look like what was advertised online. The air conditioner makes all kinds of weird noises when it turns on and off throughout the night. We did not rest well at all. The coffee pot was cheap and did not work. This was not what we signed up for. When we asked to be moved, the front desk made it very clear they would not be moving us. I am sure once more hotels are built in the area, they will clean up their act. There is little to no hospitality with the staff that we came in contact with at the hotel. Our first and last time staying at this hotel. We were very disappointed. A hotel should not advertise online something that they can’t live up to. We booked the room through “AAA” on their website. It stated that all fees and taxes were part of the charge. But when the hotel gave us our receipt, they also charged us for taxes. So, we were charged again for taxes at this hotel.
