I wasn’t going to leave a review but I absolutely have to. I was here early October 2024 for a one night stay. I did not like I had 2 cars and had to pay for parking, Surprise! Also unaware of deposit but it didn’t shock me. I did not feel good about being in our room. Not a big enough blanket on the queen bed and wasn’t comfortable (I have spine issues). At first I thought I was tripping about the noise I heard the room above us and gave benefit of doubt that at night it would get better. It sounded like they were moving heavy furniture up there for hours, even at 1-2 am. I’m from Cincinnati and I was ready to go home. I didn’t even want to stay! When me and my kids were on the balcony there was liquid coming down on us and it wasn’t raining. Mind you…the upstairs room had security sent up there to tell them about the excessive noise. I was so uncomfortable, I asked if we could be put in another room. The only reason why I stayed and didn’t leave was for my daughter and her birthday. I’ve never experienced this kind of discomfort and pay top dollar for the room. Management was very understanding but really couldn’t do anything but assure me that if the room above us kept it up with the noise and wet things being spilled that they do ask guests to leave. They gave us late check out but I was ready to go! I woke up early and we went back to the water park. That was the only fun thing for my children. Next time I will only be getting day passes.
Overall we had a great experience and value for a Monday - Tuesday stay.
For the waterpark; I felt very safe and trusted my family with the lifeguards at the water park. Could definitely see they are audited quite frequent and the lifeguards are on point.
For the room, it was as expected and served it's purpose. My only suggestion would be more kid friendly TV stations or smart app functionality. Only Nickelodeon and their kid wolf channel was available. For a hotel marketed towards being kid and family friend; I expected more variety in this area. Everything else was top notch and met expectations and beyond
Fun for kids and adults alike! The room was clean and the staff was great. The water slides and other features were awesome. It's definitely a place for the kids to cut loose, so don't be surprised when kids are running down the hall having a blast. It's for them, lighten up! The location is great, surrounded by many places to eat and shop. The family and I will definitely be back!
Pro: The room and the water park were clean and fun for kids. If you don't mind to spending $$$$ then it is good to stay a day or 2 just in the resort without going to anywhere else. They have plenty activities for kids to do.
Con: Customer service and front desk staff could surely be better. Our room's TV was out for almost 2 days and they just said it is a common issue all over the resort (like it is okay for us to suffer!?) and mainance team cannot get to us so quickly enough to resolve the issue. After multiple complaints non-stop and I got a complimentary late check out and the front desk staff wanted to let me know it is one off deal since they don't compensate this kinda issue.
Conclusion: If you see a good deal , surely go ahead to book the family vacation at Great Wolf Lodge. Be sure to expect the extra spending like $15 parking fee and $$ shopping and games. When you arrived, check around and make sure no issue with the room, otherwise, requesting a new room asap gonna save your time and headache.
Dear Park Management Team,
My family and I have been loyal visitors to The Great Wolf Lodge for several years, and it has always been a place we look forward to visiting annually. However, I am writing to express my disappointment with the recent decision to implement a $15 per day parking fee at your facility.
While I understand that operational costs may necessitate adjustments, I find this new fee to be inconsiderate, especially for guests who are already paying top dollar for accommodations. It’s discouraging to arrive and find that, in addition to the high cost of staying at your park, we are now required to pay extra simply to park. This decision undermines the overall guest experience and feels rather unwelcoming, as it is not clearly communicated in advance.
It would have been preferable if the additional cost were incorporated into the room rate, rather than presented as a separate fee. This approach would have been more transparent and less off-putting. The new parking fee feels somewhat tacky and detracts from the otherwise positive experience we’ve come to expect from The Great Wolf Lodge.
As loyal visitors, we believe it’s important to share our feedback in hopes that you will consider more guest-friendly alternatives for the future. We would love to see a change in this policy, or at least have the option to choose where we park without incurring additional fees.
Even though the weather outside was too chilly for the water park, our stay at Great Wolf Lodge was still a howling good time. The lodge itself is a winter wonderland, with cozy fireplaces, festive decorations, and plenty of indoor activities to keep everyone entertained.
The indoor water park, although not fully utilized due to the cold weather, still provided a fun and exciting atmosphere. We enjoyed watching other families splash around and imagining ourselves enjoying the slides and pools on a warmer day.
Beyond the water park, there were plenty of other activities to keep us occupied. The MagiQuest game was a big hit with the kids, as they explored the lodge, solving puzzles and casting spells. The arcade was also a fun way to spend some time, and the bowling alley provided a classic family activity.
The lodge itself was comfortable and well-maintained. Our room was cozy and perfect for relaxing after a day of fun. The staff was friendly and helpful, making us feel welcome throughout our stay.
Although we didn't get to experience the full extent of the water park, our winter getaway at Great Wolf Lodge was still a memorable experience. It's a great place to escape the cold and enjoy quality time with family.
My family really has had a great time whenever we go. Rooms are great and service is great. My only complaint is at the water park it’s really fun but the water itself, (especially in the winter time) is ABSOLUTELY FREEZING COLD. Maybe it’s difficult to warm up that much water, I don’t know. For these prices you’d think they could. Everything else is very nice and it’s a great experience for kids. My overall grade is a B+. Would be an A if the water wasn’t so frigid.
I was slightly nervous because of a handful of negative reviews. Hopefully this review can help put your nerves aside!
I will start by saying this was the most seamless family vacation from start to finish. Not a single complaint! We drove 4 hours to this location, totally worth it!
-We stayed 2 nights (weekdays) perfect amount of guests. Not too crowded, not too empty.
-We did everything they had to offer! (Expect to pay up-charges.) Again, not a single complaint.
-The rooms were exceptionally clean! I’m a germ freak. I brought my own cleaning supplies, and didn’t feel the need to use them.
-My 2 toddlers had the time of their lives. Always something for them to do!
-Large tv and comfortable beds were a plus!
-All the staff were super kind. Didn’t feel like just another guest paying to use their facility.
We will most definitely be returning! Hopefully yearly!
