Had the pleasure of be being invited by the hotel to participate in select activities, receive free play as well as a comp’d stay. Felt extremely comfortable until I went to the rewards desk, and while being assisted overheard two employees speaking of getting approval to wear a noose to work. I brought this matter to the attention of the front desk, which notified a gentleman who in return felt I would be satisfied with a 50 dollar food credit that I had to hurry up and redeem within 48 hrs and I was checking out the next day. So I invited someone to eat with me so it would not go to waste. I have since visited the property again, but my first stay as a hotel guest was not a pleasant one, definitely a memorable one. But not pleasant. I’ll never forget the two speaking of such a thing on Nov 5, 2024
The rooms are beautiful with plenty of food options in the casino. Convenient and quiet off of 101. If you would like other food options, there are plenty to choose from nearby. Small fridge in the room but does not come with a microwave. No kids are allowed on the premises!
Graton Resort & Casino was just okay — nothing extraordinary. The atmosphere was decent, but it didn’t stand out. The food options left a lot to be desired; I expected better quality for the price. However, if you’re into gambling, it seems like a good spot with plenty of gaming options. Overall, it's fine if you’re looking for a place to gamble, but I wouldn’t go out of my way for the food or experience.
Rooms excellent. Staff is hit or miss. Member since before Graton opened and I’m a royalty member for many years now.
I just recently experienced Wekapo in Arizona and 2 days there I gained more comps than 3 years in Graton.
Rules change so much staff are not on the same page. I bought alcohol one day and I usually just come through valet and have them take it up but instead security made us carry the case ourself and walked us to the room. Mind you the room is not close to elevator. We was already tired from work and were just winding down.
Another day I was trying to enter to go to bathroom before playing, showed ID and royalty card but security wanted to check my tiny handbag and needed me to wait for a second security. I said either just check it or I can just check it in with Valet.
There is no point for a Royalty Membership the Free play or comp. One time I even made about 30,000 points in one night and couldn’t get a comped cigarette because they want me to use the points that took me 18 hours of non stop playing.
Imagine playing equivalent to $70,000 in 2 nights and your free play goes from $75 three times a week to $250 twice a week and then back down to $150 twice a week.
Going into 2025, I need to find another go to casino at this point. I know we don’t matter but hopefully someone reads this and thinks twice. Don’t get me wrong, the casino is good for food especially the Bistro 101.
Driver Review: arrived early for my delivery, security led me to an area where I would be able to park and rest until my appointment time. Always appreciated when you can rest if you arrive early. Not all casino’s are equal. I was in and out once my appointment time came. No issues. I’m only a 40’ straight truck but I’m still commercial so many places won’t allow me on site til delivery time. They have two sets of docks from what I noticed. One on the Spa side and one directly behind the building, which is where I was delivering casino machines to. No other trucks were there, though other small obstacles were in the area we had plenty of space to maneuver and back in.
Everything that you expect from a higher class casino exists here. Staff were well mannered and acted professionally. You can find a variety of restaurants and fast food. Enough parking lots and lately they opened a night club. You will pay $10 admission except Thursdays that are free entry. The entrance is located outside the casino hidden in the right side of main casino door when approaching the casino.Drinks are a little bit pricey. This place is the best alternative to avoid going to Vegas. There are bus services that transfer you from various cities to the casino and you also receive allowance to gamble.Congrats management. Go there!
Good selection of games and card tables. They also have a couple of craps tables finally! The machines don't pay out very well but that's gambling. Decent selection of food as well.
Awesome spot with plenty to do for everyone! With delicious restaurants inside. I'd recommend getting a "player card" if you come here often it pays off with prizes and such.
