Best WLM Reviews

I recently stayed at this hotel during a work trip. Overall, it was a pleasant experience. The check-in process went pretty smoothly despite a slightly long wait in line, which seems to be the norm these days. Although there were kiosks available for check-in, I had a few questions to ask, so I opted to wait in line. I am glad I did. They ended up upgrading me to a larger room.
The room itself was a delight. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the workspace was just what I needed. The air filters were clearly doing their job, as there was no hint of smoke smell near the elevators or on the 4th floor, ensuring a fresh and clean environment.
I really appreciated the food options, too. There was a cafe/bakery-type shop on the casino floor that had amazing nachos. Some of the items were kind of expensive, but quite a few were actually a great deal. They also had delicious desserts.
Awesome place to stay a few nights on our road trip. Booked directly through their site (was best price I could find when browsing). Booked for just one night, and after checking in got an email offer for a stay at a discounted price and with resort fee waived. That was nice (but also makes me question this resort fee if they can do easily waive it, especially when it was pretty much equal to 60% of total room cost)
I’m not much of a gambler, so spent time at pool and walking around the building. The pool area is nice, but the main “family” swimming pool was super dirty (bugs, lots of sunscreen, and other debris in it), but going up to the adult only infinity pool was way cleaner and nicer. The arcade area was also fun with lots of options, but a bit expensive for games. You can burn through 20$ quickly on just a few games.
They have also a massive bowling alley, and I believe was at 16$/person/hour or something. Which is a bit more than I am willing to pay for a few games.
Location, while not the worst, is pretty removed from the city core. But a quick bus ride gets you there, and the bus stop luckily is right at one of the building entrances.
Great resort/casino! Soooo much stuff to do. Great pool, including a pool for adults only. Bowling alley, Starbucks, driving range and movie theater. The casino is clean. Staff were very helpful. Less than one mile from the airport but didn’t hear any planes in the rooms. We stayed for four days and barely left, everything you need is on site!
Our rooms were wonderful. We loved that there were things for kids to entertain themselves with. The only flaws were that the slots took our money right away and that there was no housekeeping for a two night stay. It was still a relaxing and enjoyable experience overall.
Room was nice. Plenty of pillows and storage for two people. They fixed the tv remote quickly when I notified them it wasn't working. Shower was large but the shower floor tile was a bit slippery. I thought the toilet paper was rough. There were plenty of towels and big mirrors. It's easy to get to on the shuttle from the airport and they run on time so you won't miss your flight. Room service was great and the front desk was helpful. The spa was nice as well.
Good:
-There’s a fantastic Starbucks!
-the restaurants had great food!
-the front desk staff are absolutely fantastic and were so nice from the start!
-the cleaning staff are so kind!
Areas for Improvement:
-The room cleanliness. I recognize that there is a shortage of staff, however, maybe providing better guidelines for what they should be cleaning might support them better! I have provided pictures of the things I found (unknown stain on bed, splatters of random substances on walls and bathrooms)
-Awkward shower set-up. The shower handle is behind the door that only opens on one side. This one was a first for me! Picture provided
-The heavy greeting of smoke upon entering the building from all sides. I can say I definitely got second hand smoke as I was coughing quite a bit during my week long stay. Providing air purification in the entry may help alleviate guests being SMACKED with smoke. I recognize this is a casino, however, being marked as a casino and resort, when I see resort I think “luxury” and the constant smell of smoke doesn’t create that sense, for me at least
I was trying to write a good review but I just couldn’t. There was no life guards on standby, my eight year old daughter got hives from the body wash, and the costumer service was horrible and had no manners whatsoever!! Overall if you are planning on taking a vacation in reno in this hotel, I recommend rethinking your options.
Stayed here before and everything was great. We went up Mother’s Day weekend and checked in at 7:30pm. Went up to our room and it had not been cleaned. Called the front desk and they said to come back down. Dragged all our stuff back down, waited around for the supervisor to put us in another room. Went up and it had technically been cleaned but there was hair on the toilet, the counter, the coffee bar, and a whole bundle of hair on the side of the bed. And the tile floor was real sticky. Called down and they said they would have housekeeping come re-clean the room. Went to dinner at Charlie Palmer (another poor experience where I ended up paying $96 for one of us to have dinner) came back at 10:00 to find housekeeping had not came yet. The said 30 more minutes, so we left for a drive. When we came back they had came and removed the hair from the side of the bed but everything else remained the same. They gave us $50 in food and beverage credit and refunded $39 of my resort fee. A quick one night trip and I gave this place $300 to sleep in a dirty room and eat protein bars for dinner. The view from the room was nice though.
