If you stay any less than 3 nights, they will not clean your room. We were not told this as we stayed only over the weekend then headed back to the strip. (Pretty annoying to not have fresh sheets on vacation). ||That being said, the pool is really cool! There’s lots of seating & the slide is pretty fun. The adults only pool is quite small but still pretty cool. Drink prices are what you would expect, even on Fremont Street. ||Room was small but perfectly fine and what we expected. We liked that you had to scan your room key to get to your specific floor.
This was our first time staying on Fremont Street and it was fantastic! The Golden Nugget was THE perfect place to stay! Desiree, who checked us in for the Rush Tower, was a delight! The process was so easy and pleasant. It was so nice to have an actual person, as opposed to some hotels on the strip. The room was beautiful, spacious and updated. The location was perfect, the pool was gorgeous, the food was exceptional. We will stay there again and I highly recommend!
I was skeptical to stay here based on previous reviews. I booked a room in the Carson Tower, which apparently are not updated. The good thing about the Carson Tower is that it's in the back and you don't hear the music on Fremont St. Check in was about 30 min because of all the people. I waited until 3pm, because I didn't want an extra charge. I was pleasantly surprised because the room was just fine. It was clean and everything worked properly. The decor may be a bit outdated, but i just wanted a clean room, bathroom, and bed. And it was. In fact, I liked that they had a desk area with a chair, and another small table with two chairs. The Hotel/casino area is beautiful, along with the pool area and aquarium. The food at the Claim Jumper was very good and did not have time to try the other restaurants. I think the hotel, as a whole, is beautiful and I know I can come back and have a clean room.
I stayed in their best room, a 2 bedroom suite in the spa tower. Room 10-G. When I first went to go up to the room, one of the two elevators was broken. So it was a 5-10 minute wait for the elevator. Minimum. One of the nights there was some event going on in the spa tower so I had to wait 30-45 minutes just to get up to my room. There was broken furniture in the room. The electric drapes didn’t work. The floor smelled like cigarette smoke. Room service never answered. The bell man who handled the luggage was rude. And lastly, I witnessed a sexual assault on the casino floor. Security nowhere to be found.
Additionally, I went to dinner with a large party at the steak house, Vic and Anthony’s. We spent $3000 on dinner. Our party included someone in a wheelchair. They were pushy when it came to inquiring about this persons ability to climb up a stairs. This person has terminal cancer. I ordered a bottle of 2008 Cristal. They didn’t have it, but that didn’t stop them from trying to pass off another years vintage. Luckily I caught it. The food was good though.
Spend your money elsewhere. I’m certain the service and amenities are better.
Such an awesome staycation. Had a beautiful room in the gold tower that overlooked the pool area. Swam in the pool and what a great slide through the shark tank. I always enjoy the restaurants and what a beautiful spa!!! It's an older hotel but the staff are so friendly and more of a veteran Vegas feel with the Fremont Street experience being a lot of locals and regular Vegas visitors
First of all the service here was great. Friendly and attentive staff. The location is also a huge plus if you are not staying on the strip. Restaurants (Vic & Anthony's) were also very good. The room was the only let down, It just looks outdated and worn. Could use an upgrade. All in all a great stay. Will recommend and will be back.
We were moved twice to new rooms because the sinks were clogged, the AC didn't work or the odor in the room. I commented upon checkout that getting in and out of the tub I almost fell. The girl at the front desk said I should have asked for senior accommodations when I made the reservation. I said how would I know that your tubs were so difficult to get in and out of? Why didn't you ask me when we checked in? (I am 77) She said that her father was 88 and he can jump and hop. How is that even relevant?||We traveled with another couple who had their own room. They found that their AC didn't work and were also relocated.||We were very disappointed with the rooms and the attitude of this Desk clerk. The response from the Guest Services was "Rest assured; the feedback provided will be shared with the appropriate hotel teams to ensure we consistently deliver upon guest expectations." Really? At $185.00 a night I expected more from them after relaying our experiences with. ||We would not recommend this hotel.||Btw, we stayed in the Rush Tower after a desk clerk talked us into upgrading our original Gold Tower Premier rooms.
This was my 5th time in Las Vegas, but 1st time staying at the Golden Nugget. It left a bad taste for future visits. I definitely will never stay here again! My biggest complaints are that our room smelled like a sewer. I complained to front desk about this and our bathtub was disgusting. They told me if I wanted to upgrade, it would be another $50 a night. They said we were in the old building so basically deal with it. To top it off we went to breakfast in one of their restaurants. I looked at the menu before we went there, the prices were double! And last but not least, we were harassed non stop by the dang time share people from Hilton. You can’t escape them since they are by the doors and the elevators to get to your room. This was supposed to be a fun weekend for my 50th birthday, but I was so disappointed! They price gouge you on everything!
