Best WLM Reviews

While I’ve never been lucky at the Golden Nugget, had a chance to stay here for the first time and can’t say I didn’t enjoy it.
The view was just stunning from the room. The atmosphere was clean and welcoming.
We didn’t stay long or try any of the food options here. We were too busy trying local restaurants to find something new other than the Casinos Buffetts.
*Try the “Filling Station” just down the road for a bite, you won’t be disappointed.
We can’t wait to come back and relax here on our next trip out.
Hope it helps.
Until next time.
May 2024: Being a disabled senior, I use an electric scooter and my battery was running low, I asked the valet if there was an electrical outlet available for me to recharge my scooter battery and he just blew me off. We promptly left while I had some change left to get us out. The casino is very nice .
Excellent service throughout. No valet really difficult to get luggage to your rooms. Very nice pool.
Casino was very smoky. Rooms were good and weekday price of $100 with all fees.
Probably would not recommend due to luggage and parking issues.
Plus stairway from pool was an issue for older folks after a few cocktails.
The location is great. And the towels and shower were nice. But we will never come back here again. There are no refrigerators in the rooms. The Resort fee is a rip off, it includes wifi, that is super super slow! 10Mbit down and 3 mbit up SUPER SLOW. There is no breakfast. The resort fee covers the safe in the room which is useless! the pools which couldnt be used since the weather is stormy. the checkin process sucks bad! I wasnt able to get near the place due to valet with bad attitudes. I had to park in some dark and unsafe basement and carry my luggage a long way! the alarm in the room goes off and cannot be unplugged, its a $10 alarm and they have it wired to the wall. Maybe it isnt safe here. But we will never come back to this place. They jacked us for a resort fee of $16.99 which is a rip off as we werent able to get anything for the $16.99 BS fee. The valet was rude, and the rude guy almost lost a set of teeth. You dont treat your customers checking in like orphan goats but they do here, so we will never return and will tell all our local friends about how BAD this place is. We didnt come for the casino. no breakfast, piss poor wifi, cry baby valet. Poor parking and access. restaurants way over priced, we didnt go due to the bad reviews.
Really it was a just average stay, first time staying at a casino and I might have expected too much. Having both elevators from the parking garage to the casino would have been nice only one operational. You couldn't use luggage carts without having to tip the employee. Shower didn't just leak it ran a steady stream, we had to run our fan on high not to hear it. I was impressed with the Draft King's section man it was Awesome especially during the NCAA tournament. It was a quick drive to Ocean Springs MS. Love that little special secret on the Gulf Coast
NO valet, NO housekeeping, NO buffets and a lot of the staff are rude and look as if they are mad if they have to assist you in any way. They limit your complimentary drinks to one every 20 minutes, (if they come around that often). The slots are very tight. I heard one winner my entire 3 day stay. Very few card tables open for Black Jack. Pit Boss informed me they do not comp meals any more. In fact, my husband or myself were not comped anything our entire stay. I do highly recommend Mortons Steakhouse for dinner. A little pricey, everything is A la carte, but the aged steak was perfect 3 nights in a row. The lobster tails were okay but nothing special. Michael Patricks has a decent breakfast but the third morning there after waiting for 15 minutes to get a table then another 20 minutes with no coffee served we left without eating. Lack of management is very noticeable in there.
The casino is good. Limited food options. Excellent sports book. The rooms need some maintenance. Room 1238, the windows are permanently hazy and unable to see thru most of it. The entry door was sprung badly and need to be slam shut multiple times to latch. The bathroom sink faucet was wobbly. No in room refrigerator and the floor ice maker did not work. The ceiling paint was peeling off.
This Golden Nugget is past its prime. The location was great though parking and getting your belongings to your room is tough. Room was not dirty but worn and poorly designed. On the other hand, the staff was GREAT.
We booked 3 nights but left after 1 and stayed at a different hotel. The Golden Nugget just smelled so bad of cigarette smoke that we could not stay there past the one night. Other smoking casinos in the area did not smell this way.
